Wow. Thanks for willfully manufacturing an even bigger fail for yourself completely unprompted. I got one word wrong. "Just." Beyond that my comment was dead on. Your quote of your own post proves it beyond any shadow of doubt. Thanks!

Yeah… there's… actually a pretty big disparity between what he said and what you inferred from it.

I'm starting to wonder if mine should bend do I post about it on a public forum or do I just see about getting it replaced/fixed. That said if it did happen to bend I wonder if I would get a 6 instead of the 6+.

You will never dedicate entire days to defending a company you have no affiliation with like Surf Monkey. :(

I'm defending a company? Nope. Just pointing out blatant absurdity.

Nope. Look at the thread where that exchange appeared. There's a little more to it than he chose to quote.

And failed miserably. Just like you did with your "In Search of the Invisible Bend" thread.

Not to the OP, evidently...

What the fact that his phone is bent? I would consider that an important testable fact! Even a blind person could do it. It might be impossible for some with a severe metal handicap too though.

Too many folk are reporting this problem for it to be categorised as an imaginary issue.

Exactly! Because we all know that anonymous people reporting problems on an internet forum actually represents what is happening in the market. (rolls eyes).

There are also people on the internet who claimed they hurt their phones because they thought IOS 7 makes your iPhone waterproof and that Wave allows you to charge your phone in the microwave. We know that those posters on 4chan who claimed they did this and it hurt their phone were all legitimate.

It is the internet. You can't post things that are false.

Now please excuse me. I am an international model and I need to get back on the catwalk. I'll put my two iPhone 6+ in the front pockets of my tight jeans and report back if I see any bending.

mmm, ok, let's go in details then:

what I said:
I would say "People who's phone haven't bent YET"
Phones that have not bent in a week or two of use are not phones that will never bend. Only the test of time will tell us if these phones bend more easily than they should.

Based on the context of that thread and the tone of this post, it appears clearly that my comment was that we could not say that most phones don't have the issue, that we can only say they haven't showed that issue YET, and that " Only the test of time will tell us if these phones bend more easily than they should."

I stand by that, sounds reasonable to me

He literally said yesterday that there were only two kinds of 6 Plus owners: ones with bent phones and ones who's phones "just haven't bent yet."

you say I literally said that there were only two kind of iPhone 6 Plus owners. Where did I literally say that, where?

"just haven't bent yet" is indeed very different than "haven't bent yet".
My statement is factual, the statement you put in my mouth is opinionated, VERY VERY different

You picked up the conversation mid stream and only included some of the posts. Why? Maybe you should just link to the thread if you're so confident.

Just so the naysayers include me in their stats, my 6+ has started to bend after 15 days of use.

The bent is not yet visible to the naked eye, but failed to pass my daily test:
- place it, screen down, on the same surface
- tap it on each of the 4 corners

Until today, the phone was as flat as the table, today it started wobbling significantly when taping two opposite corners.

Have had every iPhone since the first generation, have used this one the same way, carried in front pocket when on the move, and usually on a table when at home or work. Never used in a back pocket, didn't run into any situation that prompted me to check if my phone was damaged either, just day to day normal usage.
The phone has been in Apple Leather case from the first minute.

There are already a couple of negative impacts from the slight bend:
- when tapping on keyboard with phone flat on table in its case, phone wobbles
- phone has become noisier when vibrating if on a table

How about remembering that this phone is NOT like previous iPhones and shouldn't be kept in your pockets at all due to the sheer size!?!?! YOUR fault, just so you know. Good day sir.

are you just trying to confuse people? if I am not mistaken, you're the one that started misquoting me, and now that I correct you, you want me to... what exactly? quote the stuff I didn't say? you're losing me man..

It's not normal to take it out daily to perform a bend test. Big difference.
I don't see what is not "normal" about checking to see if your iPhone is still okay, considering how this issue has been mentioned on CNN and other mainstream news outlets.

Seems the defend-iPhone-at-all-costs crowd is split into three camps:

1.) Denial. Bending doesn't happen. It was all done on purpose. Even a steel girder will bend with enough force.

2.) It happened, but only 9 times. Apple said so. They sold a brazilian of them and the more they sell, the less it happens.

3.) It can of course bend if you don't treat it like the expensive vase... err, "phone" that it is. This is not the iPhone you once knew: it's different and should be treated as such. Therefore, it is your fault if it bends.

Did I miss any?

Mike

"Victim"?

You mean like rape victims or domestic violence victims?

No?

Ok. Dial it back, then.

The way you are interpreting it might be your issue.

The OP obviously means the 'victim of circumstance' which doesn't have such an abrasive meaning.

Now I'm not defending the OP, I personally don't care but come on, rape victim? How old are you?

OP you're so defensive. Nearly every post reply from you is jumping on the people who posted in your thread. Why start a thread if you expect everyone to patronize you?

Oh, I'm sure I'm the next one you'll attack.

I don't understand what point Surf Monkey is arguing for or why. :(

... because mailbox is working hard to obfuscate it.

My point is that he wants his phone to be bent so he perceives it to be bent whether it is or not. Thus no evidence to support his claim. Thus his history of claiming to be a bend victim before his phone was bent. Thus his many posts calling for a class action lawsuit before his bend report. Thus his obsessive daily checking and re-checking of the phone.

In sum: I find his report to be lacking in credibility.

Really? If I see another bent iphone 6 I'm going to go insane. You clearly have the Internet, yet you need more photos?

Yes I do. People clearly feel the need to create yet ANOTHER bend thread. They need to have pictures or a video starring them showing the issue. This IS the internet after all or do you believe everything you read on the web? I could tell you I'm the president of the united states for all you know.
