I can get 2 days with mine. I don't really check usage much but I do use mine a good portion of the day..BT always on all notifications on brightness around 25%.

You appear to have the same issue as me. How are other people getting 2 days of standby with 12-14 hours of usage??

Much of their usage i streaming or otherwise playing music?

Music playing (with the screen off) has always been very low battery consumption. I definitely actively play music more per day as a single activity but it's not even in my top ten battery draining apps.

The thing is, this unit was a replacement for my first 6+. My usage patterns have not changed, but this one gets much worse battery life than the one I got directly from apple.

Here is mine after my second charge cycle. I think it could also get better so I will see after a week or so.

Here is mine, something definitely seems wrong as I have similar use to use but I still have half my battery left.

I am very displeased with the battery life on my 6+. Is mine defective?

How about this, whoever decides to reply with some prove of a better battery... Don't plug in your phone to trickle charge and claim to have fantastic battery life... Smh

I forgot about that, I connect via USB in my car to play music, I drove about 2 minutes to the gym first thing this morning while I was still on about 95% anyway. Whether you choose to believe it or not what I posted is pretty typical of a days use even when I don't plug into my car.

I don't believe it

That's up to you, I'm not here to try and 'brag' about battery life, I have better things to do with my time. I was trying to provide something constructive to compare to as I'm confident I get better battery life than the OP.
I'll try and post a screenshot this time tomorrow as I'll be in my work vehicle tomorrow, which I connect via AUX to so no charging 'boosts'. I'm pretty confident we'll be looking at something very similar.

There is always a possibility. Especially listening to music with screen off will get you 12-14 hour usage.

I just did a battery test on my 6 plus this weekend. Had the phone charged Friday afternoon at work, and just left it go to see if it could last the weekend. Turns out with my type of usage it did. Nothing heavy of course, it does have some time doing audio streaming in the car with the screen off, and I didn't go through any crazy battery saving techniques either. Very pleased with it.

Yes but I have a plus, I should be getting more out of it.
I can literally watch the percentage drop ever 2-3 minutes if im simply browsing safari on a strong wifi connection. Its infuriating.

just refund it if you're not satisfied in any way.

Women will always cost you ! Whether it be your pocket or life ( battery life! ;) ) . I would also check your settings and most certainly check push notifications . But yes it's a known fact that l-ion batteries improve once conditioned.

Keep going with Tinder. I've had great success with this app and found my current gf on it :)

Playing music on airplane mode. #

----------

Does anyone consider the talk time being a big factor in battery drainage? The usage indicator doesn't show talk time.

I noticed my battery drained quickly with talk time however I thought we were supposed to get 24 hours of talk time.

I think our battery life will improve with the 8.1 release honestly

From more....

Phone is in airplane mode right now to get the last little bump of charge quickly before I head off to work.

This is a screendump from "More".

"More" is an app that analyzes your apps that are battery suckers and points it out to you.

Check it out.

I've had my phone since September 26 so that ought to have let the battery get used to being charged/discharged etc.

As you can see this is fairly shoddy battery life compared to what other people on here have been getting.

And before anyone says, I've done every battery optimization in the book. Notifications only for important apps, background refresh is turned completely off, location services are on for only navigation apps and tinder and the like, auto brightness is on, mail is set to fetch hourly for my gmail accounts and MANUAL for my iCloud account. And I know here it says I use tinder the most but I mostly just check it a few times throughout the day.

Here's mine OP. Did u cycle your battery yet? Drain till it shuts down and fully charge.
