This is all I get for battery usage, why is this?

I have not been that impressed with battery life either, mine does not last all day.

No, that's just how the iPhone is. Plus, the plus was supposed to be the one wth the slightly longer battery life.

So far, DFU restoring and setting up as a new phone has NOT helped. This is quite frustrating :(

Your Plus is better than mine.

My stats are:
Usage: 5 hours, 55 minutes
Standby: 10 hours, 53 minutes

I am at about 80% brightness all day.

Not sure what is going on but this does not seem right. I am not playing any games either.

nope, it definitely shouldnt be that bad.

Can someone test out their Plus with brightness at 100% all day? I am curious what you get. Thanks!

Please keep in mind other factors that don't get accounted for in usage. Even though you use auto brightness, battery life in the sun automatically goes to 100% for instance. Also cellular signal and gps use. If signal is weak or GPS is used that drains the battery as well. If you go to privacy settings and turn off GPS for a lot of apps, you should see improvement. I've been generally seeing 2-4 hours better per day than the 5s.

I turn off auto brightness and keep it 85 - 100%. I like a vibrant screen but guess that is costing a lot of battery.

Yes but I have a plus, I should be getting more out of it.
I can literally watch the percentage drop ever 2-3 minutes if im simply browsing safari on a strong wifi connection. Its infuriating.

Apple has a long standing obsession which places a higher priority on style over substance.

Making thin iPhones and anorexic laptops gives them great satisfaction. Building thinner and thinner devices is J.Ive's mandate.

Battery life is rather inconsequential. They design to impress other designers, not the customers. It provides them with the kind of bragging rights that keeps Apple smiling.

For their size, they get great battery life, but I agree with you. Imagine if they designed strictly for battery life! We could get 3 days or more per charge!

Take it easy with tinder then your battery will be better.

boy yall can be rough on a guy..lmao....Geez here on out delete your dating apps before you post battery life..lol

huh? by what phones are you comparing them to? Just curious as to how your getting your calculations

It's rather sad that users have to limit use of certain apps because Apple built such a thin phone with little regard for usability.

If that's not vain, nothing is.

You know what's even worse? No quick setting for Location Services! Really Apple??? Pathetic, honestly.

Passing up the obvious opportunity to stand out amongst the competition and give users a feature that's highly useful like long battery life, are proof that Apple cares first about it's own priorities, leaving users feeling like the second class citizens Apple believes they are.

While Apple would never admit it, they're so convinced of their own superiority it's impossible for them to relate to their average customer. Yet the obvious advantages of providing the longest battery life of any smartphone is quite significant. That's an attention grabbing advantage that all users can relate to. The additional sales it would generate is staggering.

no. that's normal.

my 6 gets 10 hours standby (with 8 hours usage).

people here will say otherwise because they simply don't use their phone. (note the number of people who have "home and lock screen" as the most battery usage item)

Not so sure about that.. Check my battery life from my 6+ImageUploadedByTapatalk1413264695.845505.jpg
Also.. I often have high usage for home/lock screen but I have TONS of notifications turned on for my pebble smart watch that is connected... My screen turns on tons for notifications and I still have crazy battery life ( yes with Bluetooth turned on) and notice it has NOT been plugged in at all during this usage.

Well great. I'm going to give this another week or so before I try to contact Apple again, but it's good to see other people with similar issues

What the hell are you guys doing with your phone? I got 8 hours of usage and 4 days of standby. Battery is still at 50% this morning.

Seems like we actually use it as compared to letting it sit in our pockets for 90% of the day

my phone is sync with the exchange server at the office. I received hundred of notification every day. My Samsung Note 2 was at 40% when I left the office and was barely making it through 1 day on a charge while my Iphone 6 plus can last at least 4 days on a single charge.

You receiving notifications is not the same as you actually USING the phone
