Hey guys, I really love Wheat Thins so I just tattooed a Kraft foods logo on my hand. If I willingly post about it and post a picture you aren't going to tell me your true opinions and criticize me, right? Right?

I have to say though, this is perhaps my favorite part of this thread:

It's kinda freaking hilarious when idrones bring out hardware specs to Android arguments to belittle Android phones. It's like a kid with autism bringing out debate of intelligence to insult a person with PhD.

To which iVanessa replied "AMEN". So some people get insulted for just working for corporations but someone who gets a corporation's logo permanently affixed to a visible part of their body is beyond criticism or reproach? LOL.

OP. That kind of devotion to a company is total folly. On the same level as having the name of a boyfriend tattooed to you.

haha AMEN :D

now cue the "those aren't real jobs" comments....

There is a big difference between people who work "your" kind of jobs and those work work "real jobs". You guys, usually, like your jobs. The real jobs guys and gals can't wait for the bell to ring at 5 on Friday...

About those pictures.....

Why do you assume the customers would want to deal with the tattooless one? What if the one with a tattoo is smarter and can do more for your company in the long run? I personally love tattoos, and the only reason i'm against the OP is because she got a corporate logo in a trashy/stupid spot. But even so, people shouldn't be judged for tats.

Your out to buy a car.

Car A is in in good sound shape, runs 100%

Car B has graphics painted on the hood and doors, But runs 100%

Other then the graphics painted on the body, the cars are identical.

Which car do you choose?
.
.
.
.
.
Why discriminate against Car B? it still does the same thing the other car can.

See what Im getting at here?

Cause the graphics on car b usually mean that some other dumb things like cheap loud exhaust or some cheapo intake was put on the motor. Quite often similar to things can be said about people as well.

Well, if they are used cars, I would bet that the car with all the ink, got rode a lot harder then the other one.

Expect for that " identical " part you missed, but I see what you mean , the same can be said about people too.

Lets face it, just because it has become more socially acceptable to have a tattoo, doesnt change the fact that some people are still uneasy about them, or dislike them, or will judge people who have them as delinquents.....

I mean, if CAR B has them silly graphics, it must have other things wrong with it too right? So that lady with the silly tattoo must have some other issues as well... I think i'll pass on her.

Have fun working at Starbucks for the rest of your life.

it's cool to judge a book by its cover.

Only matters that the OP likes it.

Granted, you never know how people will perceive a tattoo on a hand when it comes to future endeavors so I would say it opens up some liability but it seems like it's not a major concern.

Personally, I am not a fan of free advertising of a company. But then again, I even debadge my cars of the dealership and automaker info so maybe I'm weird lol

ah, perfect opportunity for a SJ quote.
"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle."

& yes absolutely, I love my job. I would never waste my life at a job I hated.

I also have my son's name tattooed on me. is that a "folly" as well? or is that acceptable?

the type of people that will judge me based on my tattoos are people that I will never associate myself with.

Does Cosmetology include brazilians??

because you are dying to know... it does

I really don't see what the big deal is.. besides the fact that its her body and she can do what she wants.. its not like having an apple on the hand is a bad thing..

Would you guys be having a cow if I am a die hard fan of the packers and I was to get a tattoo of their logo..

calm down!

Thats your son, thats different. How do you know that apple doesn't do something unforgiveable in the next 20 years. Anything can happen. The difference is your son will always be your son. Apple might not always be your favorite company.

No. That is a horrible analogy.

I certainly would be unless you were a member of the team or something, and even then you could still get traded to another team.

IF that highly unlikely event happened, I still would not regret it. I've been an Apple fan for a WHILE. that tattoo makes me happy. so WHY regret something that once made me happy? I don't understand.

----------

also... I would be curious to know how many of you people voicing your opinion in a rude way, have tattoos of your own?

there are a lot of closed-minded people in the world who can't see past their own lives. i have a lot of tattoos. i personally made a decision that all of my tattoos should be able to be covered by clothes. but that is what it is: A Personal Decision.

like i said earlier, don't let everyone here get you down, and sometimes its best to not feed the trolls.

i like it though, its not like its the standard apple logo, you added your own twist to it. love it and don't let them ruin it for you.

Is that of French ancestry?

No, it's pronounced Pah-vor... I'll give you a guess before I tell you where it's from.

I know, I was thinking the same thing lol.

The ironic thing here is that with that tat she got Apple wouldn't even hire her at corporate level lol.

Something is wonky with the forum. I never said the part being quoted above. However, in response to your reply, I wasn't insulting people who work for corporations. I was insulting people who can't comprehend that not every career is like Initech from Office Space.
