The prices aren't any crazier than other smartphones. You pay more than a dumb-phone, but it's worth a lot more.

You don't need to lug around several machines anymore...everything is compacted into one. Phone, internet, camera, gaming system, iPod. That's worth the costs in my opinion.

I mean, it's your choice. But, mobile computing is the future. You're missing out on something great. The prices seem high at first glance, but it's no more expensive than any other smart phone.

What ever happened to traditional "true" internet/networking? I thought the future was ISPs like Comcast! Or home phone VOiP!

I'm not too fond of 3G connectivity. I'm more of a traditional networking nerd. Meaning "true" networks as in computer/device networks. Where multiple devices can share a true hard-wired internet connection from an ISP.

Exactly. I pay the same I did with my Blackberry and I can do far more than I could on that. Yes, I could pay 30 bucks less and have a phone. But it's worth the extra cost to me... so I have one.
