lol why would someone put screen protector on the iPhone in first place, let alone 30 bucks one?!? I never had screen protector and all my phones didnt have a single scratch.

Silly. Because some get them scratched, dropped, ran over, etc. You might be lucky, but others have their luck run out. Better to have it, and not need it, than to need it, and not having it. You do know accidents do happen. LOL

Vendor probably assumed you knew how much it cost since you didn't ask...At least your screen will be scratch free when you try to sell later.

Absolutely no sympathy what so ever. I always, and assumed others do as well, and who have half a brain when they buy something, is to ask how much. You did not, so shame on you, not Apple. End of story :p

Did you even read past "Visited Apple store today"? Seems not :D

Yep, Rule 1 "How much?"

Rule 2 "If forget Rule 1 remember not to post your faux pas' on the Web!

I'm not laughing at you

I paid $32 for a Pure glass screen saver on my 5. And I just ordered another one for my new 5s when it finally shows up. I have had my Apple screens scratch in my pocket with my keys. I just forget to remember which pocket has what in it no matter how hard I try. Love this protector. It looks just like the Apple screen with no protector. I hate the feel and texture and affinity to scratches the plastic ones provide. And I've tried them all. So it's money well spent to me.
Just enjoy your perfectly applied screen saver and forget it about it. And try the glass Pure next time if you really care to shell out $32. It's awesome.

Dont sweat it. I'm sure many of us have, before, spent far more and received far less.

I hate it that I have to get someone to apply the screen protector for my protection plan, for iPad. I would prefer that I take the time, even a full hour just to make it perfect. But no... that's against policy.
Highly recommend, even if it's a dry application protector, just do it wet. Mist a small amount of rubbing alcohol or water/alcohol mix on the screen and protector and use credit card to force out bubbles, haven't failed me yet.

Visit the Apple Store today to buy a case for my 5s. On my way out of the store, I stop by one of those accessory kiosks and decided to buy a screen protector and have the person install it. I could never install the protector perfectly with no air bubbles.

I thought it would be $10 max, but it when the guy said $33 I had a heart attack. I gave them my money, what else could I do? I came home with a head full of steam.

Less than $2 for a 3-pack of screen protectors from Monoprice.

The most important thing is getting it centered during application. Bubbles and dirt are secondary concern. Once it is on straight, then you can use tape to remove the bubbles/dirt.

The end result? Perfect screen protector. Perfectly centered, no air bubbles, no dirt, dust, or lint:

Yeah, that was just 55¢.

I didn't even know they charged you to apply a screen protector on. When my fiancé got her 4S replaced a while ago she bought a screen protector for it and the apple employee installed it with no charge.

It was only 33 dollars, OP.

Don't sweat it.

I have to use screen protectors. Diamond earrings cut glass.

Best Buy too puts it starting at $25. I got put one this weekend. The price was displayed and I was fine having them put it for me on my iPhone 5c.

You guys are right I should've asked how much before having them install it. But being that overpriced never came to my mind. I will take it as an expensive lesson in life I guess.

I am going to try my hardest to get my money worth. On the receipt, it say unlimited lifetime warranty. I am going to get it reinstalled many many times for any stupid reasons I find.

Well, I wouldn't call $33 an expensive lesson in life.

Buying a $750,000 home that tanks 6 months later and ends up losing half its value ... that's an expensive lesson.

That's your fault. You asked for the service and you got it, you are obligated to pay. It's not the vendors fault you didn't ask how much it was prior to getting it done.

100% agree. You can't disagree with the price after the service is done. Honestly, considering what Zagg charges for the same thing, and you have to do it yourself, that really isn't that bad. You don't know how much the rent, overhead, and labor might cost for those kiosk. I hope you at least paid up. You should always ask the price beforehand. You did not get ripped off, you learned a lesson.

Depending on the state you literally can't by law. In my state if you refused to pay you'd be charged for larceny. The product has been spent, your have to pay.

bought 6 screen protectors on monoprice.com for less than $6 shipped! sorry bud, lesson learned.
