... since I upgraded to iOS 7. I can't use anymore without constantly hate it! I wish I could downgrade, but then I hear I'll lose all my data... this is so depressing. Why did Apple release such an incredibly torturing OS!

I'm not going to take you seriously because of your username and join date.

I have a iPhone 4 with 32 gb.. currently I have 7 gb free..
iO7 runs smoothly for me.. How much free gb do you have left?

I only have a 16GB Phone :(

According to the Monitor App I have:

Free Space 2.65 GB
Free Mem 47 MB

Pretty much that, what I had to make free for the infamous iOS7 upgrade
Had to delete lots of music... :(

I never upgrade my iPhone or iPad beyond the OS they shipped with originally. They are always as fast as they were the day I bought them and app compatibility hasn't been an issue (so far) for the typical 2-3 year upgrade cycle before I get a new device with the refreshed OS.

You don't even have an iPhone do you? If you did you'd know 47MB of RAM doesn't slow the phone down. The operating system frees up memory when it needs it.

I believe this is your problem here... this is why I would never waste money on a 16 gb iPhone..

Yes, I have an iPhone 4. I know it's old and that's why iOS7 maybe lags on it so terribly, BUT if the was to slow to run iOS7 on it, why did apple mandatory released 7 for it? They want to torture their customers so that they switch to a new overpriced 5s?

Hummm...did Tim Cook come hold a gun to your head to force you to update ?
Unless you have been living in a sewer, you knew exactly what iOS7 would look like and how slow it would be on an iPhone 4.

As far as I am concerned, you have no one to blame but yourself.

No it's not!
I'm experiencing an extremely annoying lag with the on-srcreen keyboard.
Scrolling in the settings or any OS menu lags as hell as well.

And working with the new OS requires me to think more, because it's not as intuitive as iOS 6 was, thus I'm much slower on 7.

It's just a learning curve. Once you get over the angst and get used to the new system, it'll be intuitive too. As for the lag - I've heard that erasing the device and setting it up as a new device instead of restoring from backup really helps those experiencing lag. Not everyone experiences the lag - I've installed iOS 7 on 10 family members' devices and none of them lag, including iPhone 4 and ipad 2. Lag comes from corrupted user data in the backup, not the iOS 7 core itself. Try setting it up fresh, and I bet it'll really improve your experience.

There's multiple threads the iOS 7 is horrible on the iPhone 4, and I completely expected it to be. I'm going to assume that's the main problem you're having with lag. (ignoring that iOS 7 as a whole is a slower experience)
iOS 7 is horrible and I feel your pain on that completely.

Your only option now is to trade for a phone with iOS 6 or sell yours and find one to buy with iOS 6.
Unless you did jailbreaking and have blobs saved? If you don't understand that sentence then there's no way to go back.

I hated the look of ios 7 when it first came out, cool features but hated the look, mainly the icons. But having now used it for some time I actually love it. I forgot what ios 6 looked like then looking at device running it I was like, i actually prefer ios 7.

Just take time to get used to it and you'll realise it is a better os!!

That's what I will do in the future when I buy a iPhone 6 and sell my iPhone 5. But iPhone 6 will most likely have iOS 7. :((

I think ios 7 on the iPhone 4 will be like ios 4 on the 3G, it was terrible, but there are options you can buy one thats not upgraded, sell it and go to another platform, wait for a jailbreak and download a theme, except that ios 7 is not going anywhere and just update your hardware. I thought the colorful UI was horrible too. I put a different background behind the icons and now I think it looks great. There is always choices, I understand you like what you like but this is how technology moves, forwards not backwards, does android still support gingerbread or ice cream sandwhich, no it's all about jelly bean now. All platforms do this so this is something you might as well get used to. Why should apple have to keep supporting two versions of iOS? for a small minority of people who don't like it, most people love it so i'm sure it's here to stay

Most likely iPhone 6 will ship with iOS 8 based on the release cycles in the past few years. But more importantly, iPhone 6 will have the horsepower to deal with iOS 8 and provide a smooth experience; that will be lacking in a 3 year old phone.

Most major upgrades can be fraught with issues and many early adopters embrace the paticipatory "beta" testing. But the folks that just want to use their device without immersing themselves in challenges are best served by waiting for later version editions.

Those of us that are simply turned off by the current simplistic "flat look" will get past that eventually. Another design fashion phase will eventually come around but I'm not sure Apple will set the future design trends (they may be more comfortable following nowadays)?

That was horrible indeed. Thankfully, at least in my experience, this isn't like that at all. Except for minor issues, iOS 7 works quite well on my iPhone 4. In some respects it's actually become faster. Also, due to apps automatically refreshing themselves in the background, it often feels faster when you get back to an app that, right away, shows you up-to-date content.

Embrace change. Stop fighting it. iOS 7 is much better than 6. Sorry to say. But if you hate it now, go buy an Android device :)

I've been using iPhone from day one back in 2007. Since I too hate iOS 7 I should just except that the new OS is trash and not complain that they broke what clearly wasn't broken? I like some of the new features, but that doesn't mean the rest of the changes are even working. I dislike the Android OS more than iOS 7. Just because someone complains doesn't mean they can't except change. iOS 7 does not live up to the Apple standard which makes some of us more vocal about it. I'm giving Apple until iOS 8 to fix this mess otherwise I will just go back to a flip phone and an iPod. Most of the complaints with 7 were brought up during beta and never addressed.

This. All humans resist change to some extent - but it is not the only possible reason people might not like iOS 7.

Time to get a 4S:rolleyes:

How is upgrading 'mandatory'?

Thats definitley true, I didn't even think of it that way, I haven't used iOS 7 on the iPhone 4 tbh, my wife has a 4S and thats the lowest i've tried, but seeing all the threads swayed my opinion of it.

I think what we have here is a classic study of a statistically insignificant outlier.

Let's watch as attempts are made to extrapolate sketchy inferences upon the population.

But I don't want to use android phones, I really like iOS6 and my little world was perfect, then this crazy colorful iOS7 came into my life and ruins my fun.

Oh buddy, if you don't like iOS 7 and you don't want to use Android I don't think new technology is for you, buy an iPhone running iOS 6 and live happy for the rest of your life with old technology.

That's not quite true. My roommate does not even know iOS 7 until she saw the upgrade pop up. She then asked me about iOS 7 upgrade and let me upgrade for her. SHE DOES NOT EVEN KNOW HOW TO UPGRADE!

So unless you are spending time with tech site, you are not going to know anything about iOS 7. Certainly CNN, MSBN, CBC do not put iOS 7 in their front page.
