Another person who hates iOS 7, another thread. Another life totally destroyed by selfish Apple.

Oh wait, what was that? Upgrading is optional?

That's not quite true. My roommate does not even know iOS 7 until she saw the upgrade pop up. She then asked me about iOS 7 upgrade and let me upgrade for her. SHE DOES NOT EVEN KNOW HOW TO UPGRADE!

So unless you are spending time with tech site, you are not going to know anything about iOS 7. Certainly CNN, MSBN, CBC do not put iOS 7 in their front page.

Most of my friends who own iPhones don't even know whats's iOS. Hehehe!

CNN certainly did put iOS 7 on it's main page. Multiple times. In fact there is a new story about iOS 7 on CNN's main page right now. :p

But for some it's not about the colorful changes the iOS 7 made. It's about the consistency of it working or not. It's pretty much a broken mess and launched before it was ready. Which goes against Apple's standards, makes Apple fans go insane and whine a lot. I myself whine about it daily. Sometimes here and on www.apple.com/feedback bug reports :D

I hate that iOS 7 Mail will open in yahoo inbox instead if All INBOXES for me every time.

You call it upgrading. I thought so also until I "upgraded". It was a downgrading. Apple lied. Upgrade my a$$

Hummm...did Tim Cook come hold a gun to your head to force you to update ?
Unless you have been living in a sewer, you knew exactly what iOS7 would look like and how slow it would be on an iPhone 4.

As far as I am concerned, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Wow... I don't know, but I do think if you tried really hard you could be even more condescending...

I quite like the new Facebook. Unless you were being sarcastic, but either way, I like it. :)

You don't even have an iPhone do you? If you did you'd know 47MB of RAM doesn't slow the phone down. The operating system frees up memory when it needs it.

Sure it doesn't slow the phone down... He is just reporting what he sees... Something like this...

Close out all apps from the multitasking bar, and turn off your phone and turn it back on. Either that or back up your phone and do a clean install. Or buy a 5/5C/5S.

Do you know what you're talking about at all? My iphone 5 right now shows 13MB free RAM and it's working just fine.

The sooner you guys realize the OP doesn't actually own an iPhone and is here to troll you guys the better things will get.

Hi. What application is that; can you tell me the name? It looks clean and very useful!

That could certainly be the case, but it's also a reality for quite a few where the iOS 7 update did make things worse for them (minus any hyperbole or anything like that).

Are you joking? The iPad and iPhone5 have the most problems with iOS 7. I'd assume the 5c does as well since it's the same hardware. iMessages don't work after 7.0.2. I can receive them but not send them. Music app is buggy <--and that's being kind. Battery drain is shockingly bad standby only lasts maybe 8 hours usage is down to 4. Clean install doesn't fix any of this.

The last thing we need C DM is for iOS users to fall into the "I should monitor my free memory" trap. The iPhone is designed to work smoothly and without issues and manage its own memory so the user doesn't have to.

It is called Actmonitor... I like it...

You got me wrong... I know that iPhone can take care of itself... But if someone is new to the iOS they might not know... You see that you have 10 MB of RAM free and you think there is something wrong...

I understand what you're saying but I'm telling you this guy is an imposter. He's just trolling the forum.

Downloading and installing…
Thank you very much,

Congrats. You are now going to obsess over your phone's free memory for no reason at all and keep ending tasks all day long.

Well, I think not. I just wanted, from some time, to have an application similar to what I have, on OS X, to monitor the system activity. This one, looks well designed and helpful for the casual check-up!

Listen, I feel your pain, I've had some serous bugs in various iPhones and IOS versions over the years.. but however hard to believe this may seem to you right now, you do not speak for the majority. Most phones are fine. Most people are not experiencing problems; that's a fact.

I have an iPhone 5, around 200 apps, 5 years worth of data carried over 4 successive iPhone models, 2000 songs, etc etc. IOS 7 is running perfectly. My battery is actually improved. My wifi is also much better (had real problems on IOS 6). I iMessage my wife all the time and have had no problem (her 4S is fine too btw). I like the new look and for me the Control Centre is pretty much worth the update in itself.

Good for me eh? Does that change the problems you're having, of course not; but it's still important you understand that IOS 7 isn't some kind of blight on humanity; it's just a new OS. A minority are finding bugs just as some do with EVERY new release; those things will be fixed, end of.

Embrace change. Stop fighting it. iOS 7 is much better than 6. Sorry to say. But if you hate it now, go buy an Android device :)

What are you, an evangelist? A preacher for the almighty Apple? If he doesn't like it, then he's entitled to his opinion. Apple already tells us what to think. We do NOT need people like YOU reinforcing the message.

Look, I don't have a problem with change. I liked iTunes 11, and Apple Maps. But I do have a problem with blindly accepting change. When you do that, you just make it easier for powerful people to influence you. And I also have a problem with change for its own sake, which to me iOS 7 is.

You're welcome to disagree. You think there would be fewer arguments in this forum if everyone agreed on one thing. But you're wrong. People should use their initiative when they form an opinion. THINK DIFFERENT, as they used to say.

I'm just telling you because I went through the same process :p

I do monitor my Mac OS X on my Macbook though :D

Oh come on! If you don't update, iTunes will bug you until you turn the setting off. The iPhone itself will bug you for an OTA update. There will be a permanent notification badge over the settings icon. So yes, they do not force the update on anyone, but they will bully you into taking it.

It's even worse for the casual user. The vast majority will get curious and accept one of these notifications. They will maybe read a bullet-pointed list of iOS 7 features. But they will NOT be told that the update is irreversible. You can't make up your mind until you've seen it, and you can't change your mind when you've installed it any more than you un-crack a broken screen.
