Yes, I have an iPhone 4. I know it's old and that's why iOS7 maybe lags on it so terribly, BUT if the was to slow to run iOS7 on it, why did apple mandatory released 7 for it? They want to torture their customers so that they switch to a new overpriced 5s?

To remove the keyboard lag go to Settings -> iCloud -> and turn OFF the Documents and Data. Reboot.

The ugliest Phone in the world is iPhone with iOS7 :D
I use Soundhound for music player

If Apple doesn't release it for the iPhone 4 you would've complained it's their planned obsolescence so that you switch to a new overpriced 5s. You will always argue.

... since I upgraded to iOS 7. I can't use anymore without constantly hate it! I wish I could downgrade, but then I hear I'll lose all my data... this is so depressing. Why did Apple release such an incredibly torturing OS!

sell it and try your luck with a android

Do you know what you're talking about at all? My iphone 5 right now shows 13MB free RAM and it's working just fine.

The sooner you guys realize the OP doesn't actually own an iPhone and is here to troll you guys the better things will get.

iOS certainly frees up the memory for front app. But it came with cost, some of your background app will get cleared out of memory and Safari will starts refreshing every tab you have opened. If you have background downloading, then you probably need restart the download again.

Again runs our of memory will probably not affect you that much, but it doesn't mean it won't slow the system down. If you ever used iPad 1 or iPod Touch 4G with iOS 5/ iOS 6, then you will know lack of RAM really drag things down.

I like iOS 7, and the fact that it's torturing someone like you makes me like it even more.

Why let someone else influence you, you're giving away your power. However that is the standard in many Apple users lives. Look at the wealth Apple has accumulated via its influence and control over otherwise intelligent people. Quite the accomplishment.

If you had valid arguments to why it sucks I would take you seriously and debate, but since you just came to rant about how IOS 7 sucks, I'll just say to you two things: Android and goodbye ;)

I loves me some iOS 7. Mmmm hmmm, yes I do. LOVES IT I TELLS YA!!!

While I love iOS7 on my iP5, I have to agree wit OP, it really sucks on an iP4. After I upgraded my daughters iP4, its barely usable. Tha lack of downgrade options forces me to buy her a new phone. Apple really should allow downgrades, atleast for low-end devices.

But that wouldn't make people spend $$ to upgrade. It's a clever marketing trick.

I understand what you're saying but I'm telling you this guy is an imposter. He's just trolling the forum.

The guy that is accurately measuring iPhone memory (even if he doesn't understand it) and does not like/want and Android phone?

My first post on here was bitching too. A lot of people join to vent. No need for accusations and name calling IMO.

All of you :apple: koolaid drinkers don't understand my perspective.

Yes, apple didn't hold a gun to anybody's head and force them to upgrade to ios 7.

For most of us that post here, we pretty much know what we are getting into and have a resource to know if my device can handle it.

Consider the casual iphone 4 user who gets a message on his/her phone that there is a software upgrade available. "Oh, looks like apple is giving us a better operating system. I better download it "

Said person updates and their phone becomes glitchy, choppy, whatever. Because of some of the phone's previous settings. "I don't like this, I'd better revert back, I guess my phone just can't handle this software update."

Now they can't go back. They are stuck with a product that is a worse experience than if they stuck with the previous ios. Now apple has them exactly where the want them. They were perfectly happy with their phone on the previous version. Now that they can't go back, they are forced to deal with a buggy phone experience or upgrade.

No it's not!
I'm experiencing an extremely annoying lag with the on-srcreen keyboard.
Scrolling in the settings or any OS menu lags as hell as well.

And working with the new OS requires me to think more, because it's not as intuitive as iOS 6 was, thus I'm much slower on 7.

Extremely? Annoying? I find it fast on my iPhone 4 and my wife's iPhone 5. Not sure if a millisecond is annoying and "extreme" but oh well.

I hate fact that Apple allowed this update (iOS7) for iPhone 4.
Why not say - you guys with old iPhone 4 want iOS7? Buy a new phone!
I feel like I have again my HTC windows moble back in 2006, animation stuttering, delays, choppiness...

Why oh why is it so slow on iPhone 4.
It is so much less of heavy graphics now (white background an text basically). but it runs so much slower...

Why? Does that actually change anything at all for you or anyone else?

If you've ever used an android device you would know the answer is YES! Developers have to choose between developing for current OS users (about 20-25%) or any number of outdated users. If a dev decides to use new API features then most android owners are sol and can't use the app. If they decide to only use old Apis, then owners of modern android phones wasted their money on being up to date.

Are you joking? The iPad and iPhone5 have the most problems with iOS 7. I'd assume the 5c does as well since it's the same hardware. iMessages don't work after 7.0.2. I can receive them but not send them. Music app is buggy <--and that's being kind. Battery drain is shockingly bad standby only lasts maybe 8 hours usage is down to 4. Clean install doesn't fix any of this.

Hm. I have a 5 and have done pretty well. Yea, the battery drains quickly, but I turned off background app refresh, parallax, etc. Helped quite a bit. No issues with the music app. iMessage bug sucks. I'm guessing that's 7.0.2 though. Friends with just 7 have no issues with that.

It's perfectly ok to dislike iOS 7. No one said you should be forced to love it.

What I find the most suspicious is that when people do vent about iOS 7 they provide details as to what they don't like which confirms they have actually used it.

The OP here is just saying "I hate it" and then providing a free memory screenshot?

Unless proven otherwise I do not think the OP even has a iPhone.

You may be correct but all these years I've used an iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4S, 5 I've never run into a moment where the springboard was slow to react or apps were slow to open.
