Personally I don't actually think we'll see a major update, aesthetic that is for another year.

there could possibly be a major overhaul. Apple signed a deal to be the exclusive user of liquid metal in consumer electronics. You can see it in the sim card user for the iphone apparently. I read that that was the test to see if they could use it in bigger electronics like the macbook pro. So i'm hoping for a liquid metal macbook, which will be scratch resistance and much more durable apparently.
