This seems overblown a bit, like always.

My 15 PM is totally fine. It got warm (warm, not hot!) during setup just like every other iPhone I’ve set up since as long as I can remember. I actually said it out loud to myself during setup “it’s an iPhone alright”. 😊

I can recognise that the titanium and its lesser thickness plus rounded edges will make the phone less durable than my 13 Pro. You can’t have it all. I guess I’ll know when I drop it the first time. 😊 I do not use a case but have AC+.

yeah seems the PM is much more popular this year?
I think I’m not alone in moving from a normal Pro to a Max this year due to the weight reduction and the slight but noticeable smaller size. In hand I feel that my 15 PM is the same weight as my outgoing 13 Pro, which it’s not, the PM is still heavier. I don’t know what inertia trickery Apple did, but I think the 15 PM is spot on weight wise.

Ok I couldn’t image all of these happen in one phone:
-easily damage
-easily scratch
-easily overheat with titanium is only around 1/15 cooling of aluminium, also 3nm seem like not mature at all.
-Daily battery life is worse than 14 pro, with over heat problem, battery should die so fast
-screen brightness is worse than 14 pro, seem like this year screen quality is worse
-screen sensitive problem, not sure software or hardware problem now, can be because of cheap screen quality.

Sound like better just sell my case and screen protector to true user

I have multiple Apple stuff but this time is too much.
Geezus where do people come up with this stuff over a phone?

yeah agree, that must have been why the line was blocks long at Apple Store yesterday here!😄 They sales guys kept saying 'everyone wants the pro'. I stand in that same demographic, where I had the pro max last year but got rid of it due to weight (not really size) and used a 14 Pro. With that being said, not sure if it's must me but having a difficult time understanding now why anyone would buy a plus, given how similar NOW these two are in weight and same size... (I get the $300). I was a at an event last night at the 15 PM camera took amazing portraits!

@JPack holy **** is it true that titanium has 1/15th of aluminum’s cooling capacities ? And what about stainless steel ?

Stainless steel and titanium have similar thermal conductivity, but it also depends on the alloy they use.

Im not sure of this but i think the chasis of the stainless steel phones is made of the same material as the frame. Thus the phone “tecnically” has worse thermal disipation as the 15 pros chasis is from aluminum which has the best thermal
Conductivity of all 3. Normally the phone dissipates heat “vertically, through the screen and back chasis, the rest spreads through the phone, only the side where the SoC is the only one who would warm up.

No one has ever been worried about thermal conductivity with stainless steel since 2017 so nothing to worry about now, it will be probably on par with last iphones.

Although i think they should address heat disipation better, specially now that phones are procesing so many heavy stuff like raytracing, games etc etc. a heatsink or some kind of graphite like they do on macbook air would be nice.

What is a bit concerning is the stuff about 15 PM toasting a bit, though i think the people who found out are seeking it deliberately, on a day to day and with things that are not gaming i dont see it happening, it might get warm as all iphones do but not 48ºc. It still feels weird anyway because it should be the “coldest phone” of the pro’s giving the surface area. I can suspect it might be because of ios 17 being new or maybe different factors, time will tell.

Username checks out

It is a little bit disappointing with all the expectations around the new 3nm chip I was expecting both a performance and battery improvement gain. Seems like Apple just opted for performance only...

I never base my decision to purchase or not purchase something on YouTubers. Never regretted any purchases or not getting something. Most of them earn with click bait crap, objectivity doesn’t get them clicks.
I always test/review devices for my use, if it isn’t good fit, the device goes back.

Titanium is only used for the outer frame - something that none of the hot internals touch anyway. Aluminum is still used for the internal structure.

These are objective problems. I was no talking about something subjective like some people over here they have tried 15 pro or pro max and it feel cheap. Well I played the 15 pro and pro max too and honestly it does not feel like an over $1200 phone. It look and feel ok but not something high class.
Apple makes a phone heavier to feel more “premium” - users complain that it’s too heavy

Apple shaves 10% off the weight - users complain that the phone feels “cheap.”

Must be nice to life in your life full of such first world problems 🙄

IMO it is an error to be paying serious attention to day one clickbait nonsense. Day one UTubers wanting to sensationalize is not where anyone should go for info on purchase decision making.

I mainly look at posts over here with at least few other users confirm the problems.

Nothing wrong with this, or even checking out reviews on YouTube. When you're spending $1K+ on a phone from a company that's supposed to be offering superior products (as reflected in the price they charge), it's totally legitimate to want to make sure you're getting the right amount of value for your money.
