I saw it after I posted because it was a separate comment. They said it's the same but they didn't name the sensors. So that's not much of a source. If the sensors are the same, they will have the same name.

All specs of the sensors are the same, 99% chance same model.

It wouldn’t matter cause anyone who had a pro had stainless steel did they not?
With its high melting point, titanium has low thermal conductivity meaning it is a good insulator...Titanium can feel warmer or colder depending on where your environment is or if your chip is performing at its full load...

well, the "slate black" iPhone 5 "scuff gate" is back to haunt iPhone 15 Pro series..
Apple resolved the scratch prone material with the next version (5 S)
So I guess this will be addressed next year with iPhone 16 Pro.

I don't think I'll be upgrading my 13 Pro Max to 15 Pro anymore.

Do you mean 15 pro or max is a heater except somewhere like Iceland

Ok I couldn’t image all of these happen in one phone:
-easily damage
-easily scratch
-easily overheat with titanium is only around 1/15 cooling of aluminium, also 3nm seem like not mature at all.
-Daily battery life is worse than 14 pro, with over heat problem, battery should die so fast
-screen brightness is worse than 14 pro, seem like this year screen quality is worse
-screen sensitive problem, not sure software or hardware problem now, can be because of cheap screen quality.

Sound like better just sell my case and screen protector to true user

I have multiple Apple stuff but this time is too much.

If you must buy a 15 pro, better wait for at least 1 month to let them fix serious issues first.

Boy I guess I’m blessed. Got my phone on release day, no issues, perfect screen, no heating, blue titanium perfect no scratches-Ido use a case so there never will be scratches. Wasn’t aware of any issues until seeing some of these threads. No one I know who has gotten the phones has any issues. All phones can have issues, my iphone 3(S) had the plastic case crack a couple times, and my iPhone 4 had a screen defect, both were quickly replaced in store. But the 15PM has really impressed me and I’m very glad I got it and never saw these threads before ordering.

Apple claims they're not the same. As such that's false advertising if true. Or no one has taken the time to investigate the sensors and don't know. Which is most likely the case.

None of those "issues" are going to be "fixed" as they would entail altering the manufacturing process for no reason.

manufacturing process can be updated everyday. Just the screen sensitive issue can be some hardware issue of the screen material % formula that can be fixed as long as they found it out.

Apple never claimed they are not the same, it is you didn’t carefully hear what they said in the event.

They should have did their research beforehand and now it’s really begin to sound like buyer remorse over this issue.

iFixIt didn't claim anything other than they were similar in size. I already stated this. He didn't check what sensor it was or even pull it out. Try again.

The ones you've outlined would require retooling the whole entire process and a couple of them would require redesigning the phone itself. So, no.

In fact they did. Watching the video, they said the standard 15 has a 48MP sensor and the Pro has a sensor larger than the standard 15's. The 48MP sensor in the 15 is the same sensor in the 14 Pro. I bet they get in some legal problems with this as they didn't clearly define what they meant. We are, after all, actually talking about 3 different sensors and not one sensor with 3 lenses. It's the other two sensors that are actually physically larger and the 48 MP sensor got new OIS and a better lens.

You think too much, it is the same sensor but Apple does put some new coating on it and some software change like default 24MP HEIF with a 48MP photo in AI calculation.

Well which is it? First you say I've been deceived because I didn't pay enough attention, now I'm thinking too much? You can't have both situations. The software isn't the sensor so none of that matters. Putting a different coating on the sensor doesn't make it larger than the sensor in the standard 15. Which is the same sensor in the 14 Pro. Sounds to me you aren't thinking enough.

Regular 15 sensor is a new one with 1/1.5 size.

Why do you think regular 15 has the 14 pro sensor, do you need to see doctor?

Because it's actually been reported by Apple and a couple other sources that the 48MP sensor in the standard 15 is the same one that was in the 14P.

Apple never said that, you better post a link showing Apple said that.

Like you have? Pretty sure it was reported a couple days ago on here, even, that the 14 to 15 camera upgrade was the switch to the 14P sensor in the 15 standard.
