We have been lucky that every iphone launch maybe had a minor software bug that was easy to patch.

That changed with the iPhone 15 pro.

Phones overheating. BMW vehicles bricking the NFC chip. Powerbanks being charged by the iPhone instead of the other way around. OLED Burn-in.

I feel that this specific product has one of the worst product launches Apple has ever had. I think the product was released before it was ready.

Will the executive chef at Apple figure out how to fix this dumpster fire?
People were fired over this for sure and some of them higher up but not made public rest assured.

Here is a comprehensive list, in order, of every iPhone launch that was the worse than all prior iPhone launches:

1. iPhone 15
2. iPhone 14
3. iPhone 13
4. iPhone 12
5. iPhone 11
6. iPhone XS
7. iPhone X
8. iPhone 9
9. iPhone 8
10. iPhone 7
11. iPhone 6S
12. iPhone 6
13. iPhone 5S
14. iPhone 5
15. iPhone 4S
16. iPhone 4
17. iPhone 3GS
18. iPhone 3G
19. iPhone
I didn't know that #8. iPhone 9 even existed. It must be very rare iphone.

Watching what is going on before deciding to buy it.
Wouldn’t put too much credence in sensational headlines. Lots of people, including myself, are having excellent experiences with the phone. Most stores have 15 day return policies. You can take it in the wild and really know how it works. Can’t worry about problems you don’t have yet. Good luck with your research and new phone if you go for it.

Thank you. This is the kind of response I was hoping for. The mudslinging and trolling here is unnecessary.

4S was amazing.

The 12 was far worse, IMO. The 12 screen had a PWM problem that was really bad. If you were effected, I'm pretty sure that the 12 was just a phone you couldn't use. AFAIK, the hardware was never fixed, so there's a greater than normal percentage of people who just can't use the 12 series. On top of that, the 12 series was delayed, so you couldn't even get a phone... which I'm sure gave Apple more time to iron out any bugs.

I was reading headlines supported by sources, including Forbes The Independent, and Macrumors themselves.
Apple sold around 15 million iPhones the first weekend alone, so 0.02% of people having a problem is 3,000 people complaining online.

That’s why most of us, like my wife and I with 2 new 15 Pros, only read about these issues rather than experience them.

And yet you think iPhones are "overheating"? What source do you have for that?
people that own them lol, why would a linked source be needed.
here's one from another forum

Mine is still super hot after the update:

- charging (very hot in new ford ranger wireless charging)
- phone calls
- taking a couple of photos

I hope the phone call heat is fixed as this is all I can think about while on calls and it’s heating my head up.

They're not responsible in part. I honestly think things were missed by Apple with the iPhone 15 Pro and it was released before it was ready.

I will go read over about the iPhone 4 launch again.
yes they are completely responsible, the pilot is always responsible.

The word overheating in a headline doesn't mean phones are overheating.

Kuo is utterly misinformed and tried to claim titanium was causing overheating issues which was spectacularly wrong.

Random people saying their phones are getting hot isn't a source that the 15 Pro actually gets hotter than the 14 Pro. That's because it doesn't.

What you have is people misusing the word "overheating", and software issues causing some phones to heat up as if they're under load, when they shouldn't be. Not overheating.

One person noticing a hot phone does not mean the 15 Pro has a unique overheating issue.
