To me it's only a phone, I have a Laptop, TV, Desktop PC and an iPad Pro. So I have better devices for doing anything serious on. My phone is used to make calls, text, take photos and listen to music. I'll browse the net for five mins a day and maybe watch a short YouTube video, but I'm not going to do anything that requires a lot of effort as I have something better to use.
So I think the iPhone X is totally overengineered and overpriced for my usage. However at the same time I don't want an iPhone 8 because it looks exactly like my current iPhone... what's the point in upgrading?
Apple have priced me out of the market, not because I cannot afford it, but because the price just exceeds my usage on a phone.
This makes me really sad there is no mid ranged iPhone. It makes me sad there is no iPhone 5c follow up, I loved that little phone, but I had to upgrade for Touch ID.
The whole event left me numb and now Android will have to be the place I go to. I don't want to because I'm invested in the ecosystem, sadly though Apple refuse to create tiers. I don't find the iPhone 8 price appealing either tbh...
