Ordered an 64GB iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi model in Space Grey, the morning pre-orders went live on the East Coast (I live in the DC metro area).

Received my confirmation email at 11:12am EST (12 minutes after pre-orders went live), with an estimated delivery time frame of October 22nd and October 24th.

Checked the order status yesterday morning to see that my order had changed from "Processing" to "Preparing for Shipment."

It's been more than 24 hours now and it's still stuck in "Preparing for Shipment". Tracking by reference using my phone number through both UPS and FedEx show no results. Called Apple about half an hour ago, and they also don't have any changes reflected in their systems. Hopefully it ships out by the end of the day.

I'm in the same exact boat as you. Most of our stuff shipped from Harrisburg PA and it gets here fairly quickly. I also ordered a smart cover and it came on Monday. Fingers crossed we see our new iPad's tomorrow or Thursday.

I'm in Michigan as well. Just tried the FedEx Delivery Manager, and it didn't find anything for my address.

Interesting. My shipment is definitely from Apple, their signature 'AI' name is present.

Ordered at 11:10 on Friday, and I just got tracking info.

128GB Space-Grey, WiFi

Site says it delivers the 23rd. UPS tracking isn't live yet.

Is your order number or phone number listed on that page anywhere?

I ask because I'm having mine shipped to work, so I can't use Delivery Manager. But if Apple lists the order or phone number, I might be able to find my tracking number with Track by Reference.

So it seems like they didn't change the cover at all. This is disappointing since the magnets were very weak.

Yeah I've heard that, which may be frustrating since I'm going to get a bestskinsever back for it. Previous ipad was 3rd gen and those magnets were still pretty solid through the protective film. Spent a while trying to make sure the cover is correct since it seems like the lower profile means they would have to redo it, guess not.

Any other Canadian deliveries. Mine is still showing "Preparing for Shipment" estimate is "Oct 27-29" .. Standard Shipping. :(

Mine is still in "Preparing for Shipment"; estimate is "Oct 31-Nov 3"; Standard Shipment.

I ordered about 5 mins after it went live, got the 128GB Gold Cell+Wifi model, and shipping it to Victoria, BC.!

There is a purchase order number within the FedEx label information, but it's not a number that I have seen before, and it's definitely not the web order number that I see in Apple's systems.

My 10 digit phone number is listed on the label information as a reference number. So, Track by Reference should work with the phone number used to place the order.

My cover came from likely the same place, Harrisburg PA to Cleveland OH, UPS Ground. It shows it departed Harrisburg on the 20th at 8:18 PM and was delivered the 21st at 9:51 AM. Hopefully same speedyness happens with ipad.

Yes, it is coming from Harrisburg PA. It should only take a day like you said. Unless Apple is holding the delivery back. I'll see the next time the tracking updates. Sometimes, the next scan after the origin scan, the delivery gets rescheduled to be faster/slower with UPS.

Anyone in southern California have any movement beyond 'processing' yet? (for any type, wifi or cellular)

I saw that some western-US orders might be coming out of Rialto, so maybe we won't see movement until right before...

Nothing for me (So Cal as well, but a wifi iPad Mini 3 ordered 8:09 the 17th). Stinks seeing everyone elses shipping status update.

Just received my shipment notification! UPS tracking number received, but isn't active yet. Text notification from Apple states it will be delivered October 22nd, tomorrow. Hope everyone else starts getting theirs as well!

Have shipping confirmation!

Anyone feeling a cellular version delay occurring?

What kind of delay are you referring to? I keep seeing "ships 2-4 days" on many customer's orders (those who ordered on Friday) - regardless of Wi-Fi to Cellular.

I think Apple would reflect any cellular model delays in the shipping time/availability date.

Why what's the benefits this?

It allows you to manage and redirect any and all shipments coming to you. Once you sign up, enter your address, you will see all shipments that are headed to you, even before they're shipped.

It's irrelevant if you aren't concerned about that, but for those of us who are constantly refreshing the Apple order page, FedEx delivery manager will tell us when the shipment is scheduled for delivery when Apple's website does not.
