What kind of delay are you referring to? I keep seeing "ships 2-4 days" on many customer's orders (those who ordered on Friday) - regardless of Wi-Fi to Cellular.

I think Apple would reflect any cellular model delays in the shipping time/availability date.

I just think it's odd that only wifi devices are being reported here as being prepared for shipment.

Yeah, but it's (hypothetically) possible that Apple identified a last-minute issue with the cellular models that results in a delay.

To be clear, we have no evidence for this other than the apparent lack of shipping notifications, compared with the Wi-Fi models. It's just as possible that they're simply slapping shipping labels on all the Wi-Fi models first.

I haven't been following people's tracking info too closely (envious!), but maybe the cellular models are already in local distribution centers, and wifi models are coming from China? I'm reaching here, but Apple does have until Friday for the 22-24 orders, and they've always been right on (or before) for me.

If you are signed up for FedEx Delivery Manager, or UPS My Choice, you will see deliveries scheduled to your home before the order information is updated to reflect the shipments.

https://wwwapps.ups.com/mcdp?loc=en_US

http://www.fedex.com/us/delivery/

Sign up, enter your address(s) where the shipment is headed to, and you can see all incoming and outgoing shipments to that location.

I already have both of these services (LOVE them - I can see shipments coming when I don't get tracking from vendors, etc), but nothing there either yet.

Yes, it is coming from Harrisburg PA. It should only take a day like you said. Unless Apple is holding the delivery back. I'll see the next time the tracking updates. Sometimes, the next scan after the origin scan, the delivery gets rescheduled to be faster/slower with UPS.

I was right. The tracking now shows that the package has been rescheduled to be delivered on Wednesday. Seems that Wed. is the day.

It allows you to manage and redirect any and all shipments coming to you. Once you sign up, enter your address, you will see all shipments that are headed to you, even before they're shipped.

It's irrelevant if you aren't concerned about that, but for those of us who are constantly refreshing the Apple order page, FedEx delivery manager will tell us when the shipment is scheduled for delivery when Apple's website does not.
I signed up so where/how do I track by address? Not seeing where to put my full address

Yeah I've heard that, which may be frustrating since I'm going to get a bestskinsever back for it. Previous ipad was 3rd gen and those magnets were still pretty solid through the protective film. Spent a while trying to make sure the cover is correct since it seems like the lower profile means they would have to redo it, guess not.

Not only did they not improve it, they removed the leather Smart Cover which was much better than the other one. If someone doesn't want a smart case they have no choice but to go elsewhere for leather,

I heard from a very reliable source that every time you check the status of your order you get moved to the back of the queue.

There are cellular devices prepared for shipment.

In this thread, I haven't seen anyone report a cellular device prepared for shipment or having shipped in the US. Everyone who has reported has been abroad.

charlie is very extremely right:p:p . but mine is gold 64 wifi... just got the tracking number. see when it actually shows up in their system

Weird thing is i ordered right after the store came back up.

Delivery estimate is oct 24-28 and if i go to order one now...its the same estimate. What gives?

Is there someone making better smart covers than the apple ones? I'd love to have one that's as dependable as the one on my ipad 4.

I had the twelve south surface pad and loved it but I didn't like how hard it was to remove and reuse.

is anyone a little pissed about how apple did their pre order? idk about the other product launches but when it says pre order starts on the 17th, i assume that its at mid night.... definitely not a situation where it takes the "number 1" tech company in the world like 4 hours to have the site go live at 11. so random. just pissed that i essentially stayed up from midnight to 11 waiting for it to open.:mad:

Got shipment notification this afternoon, delivers by 10/23! Ordered Space Gray 64 GB iPA2 and Case shortly after store went back up. Coming UPS.
