*First impressions*

**Design** – Coming from a 7+, this thing is sooo small! It feels hefty in the hand and is definitely thicker - The thickness gives it a sturdy and premium feel. The stainless steel frame is very similar to my SS Apple Watch and might scratch but I have the Cape Cod cloth for buffing it up when needed.

**Screen / Notch** – It feels a bit surreal that the phone is smaller than my 7+ but the screen seems infinitely bigger. The OLED screen is amazing the colours are more vivid and sharp. I personally don’t mind the notch at all – I forgot about it once I started scrolling through websites and the reduced status bar icons in the left and right ears feel streamlined and not as intrusive.

I also watched short videos on YouTube in full screen mode and I don’t notice the notch at all – It’s in the place where I would normally hold the phone anyway.

**Face ID** – OMG it’s fast. Set up was super easy and it has not failed me yet (I’ve unlocked it maybe 30 times or so). Raise to wake and swipe up and it’s unlocked. I’ve tried different angles of unlocking including it lying flat in front of me on the desk, tap to wake and it’s unlocked. I do not miss Touch ID one bit.

**Gestures** – I used to jailbreak my 6S+ and used Activator frequently so this feels very familiar. It took me maybe 5 to 10 mins to get used to the gesture based navigation. Swiping up to close an app or go to the home screen is intuitive and responsive. Swiping left or right on the home bar feels fluid and very convenient. Even swiping up and holding to open app switcher isn’t as slow as some of the reviews make it out to be. I don’t miss the home button one bit.

Happy to answer any questions. I’m at work now but will try and respond as quickly as possible

Awesome!!! Congrats. Looks great!
[doublepost=1509665200][/doublepost]How would you describe the silver back? As far as color. I realize color is probably the only thing impossible to describe in words... but what other Apple products or things does the color resemble?

It's not as white as I thought it'd be. A slight greyish tone.

My biggest concern, as I’m sure many others, is coming from a plus model, do you feel like you are losing anything? Does watching 16:9 video in standard view ( hiding the notch) feel restrictive?

Silver like Apple said?

Not silver at all. Just white / greyish white

Not at all. It's not a step down from the 7+ that's for sure. Watch full screen and don't hide the notch - You forget about it very quickly.
