I agree to some extent with the OP.

I really like my 6 Plus, but I don't like those stupid ugly plastic lines on the back and I also don't like the large bezels.

The lines are a nice graphic reflection of the front bezels. At least to my eye. I think most of the hate for them comes from the period before release when people were seeing the case back without the front included. First impressions are often hard to change.

Why dod people feel the need to come on here and post how much they dislike the iPhone 6 and how Apple is doomed and this and that.. Seriously, if you don't like something, then that's it. The rest of us could care less...

Are you new to the whole message board/forum thing? It's what people do on these things... welcome.

I think iPhone 6 is the best iPhone so far. Not necessarily in every aspect but as an overall smartphone.

4/4S takes the design crown, but iPhone 6 takes the second place in my opinion. I think iPhone 6 looks better in person than iPhone 5/5S. Then... all iPhones before 4 were ugly.

What comes to size. Bigger screen is better.

Enjoy your 5S OP. Nothing wrong with it and over time many companies will switch direction based on what they think their customers want. I used to be a huge fanboy of certain brands and today I wouldn't buy any of their products. That's life..

Is this real life?

Meanwhile, in Africa...

People would donate $11 to save one child but only $5 to save eight. The same goes for single events—like a tsunami—versus an ongoing event—like starving children. We just don't seem to have the emotional bandwidth to care for too long or for too many people. One appears to be the magic number for empathy.

While we can't magically adjust our brains to start caring about millions like we care about a single human being, or have the power to help an endless number of people, we can be more aware of it. Next time you disregard a major tragedy that seems so far away, imagine what it might be like for just one person who has to experience it. What you decide to do about that is up to you, but at least your consideration won't be so warped by the numbers.

OP.. you probably won't get much sympathy from people who shelled out so much money for a new device! I still think the iPhone 6 is the best device, although the 6 doesn't have as premium of a feel that the 4's and 5's did.

When I first held the 4s, I really wanted an iPhone but I couldn't afford it and much less justify buying it. Then the 5 came out, and kind of diminished the iNvy, because it felt much less sturdy and didn't look quite as cool. I still bought it, though, and the tapered edges still do it for me.

I held the 6 for about 10 seconds before deciding that the magic was gone.
It's just an ugly bar of soap, slippery, weird, rounded edges, nothing to hold onto.

The gold one actually looks like a toy.

I was ultimately disenchanted with the iPhone 6. I enjoyed my tenure with the iphones, but I think that Apple's main strength is their iMac, and even with that, the competition is rising. I'm not ditching apple here, but saying that it would be wise to keep an eye on the competition. We are not bound by tethers to apple. we are free to roam.

Love My ipad 2 and iPad Air completely worth the money!!!

I tried the G3 for a month during the summer to give Android another go when there was a great slickdeal for an off-contract G3. It's a great phone and I loved the form factor, along with much of what Android does. That said, I tired of it after the novelty wore off and bought an iPhone 6 (and may switch to 6 Plus).

The G3's biggest weakness was, shockingly, its QHD display. It appears as though LG is running a sharpening filter that makes most text look horrible. And despite being an LCD, the display always wants to run at a much dimmer level on auto-brightness (even with the preset maxed out) than any iPhone. 60% brightness on the G3 (good for indoor viewing) is roughly 25% on the iPhone 6.

The G3 has very good battery life when you let it run auto-brightness, but battery suffered terribly when I disabled it (which I found to be a necessity for outdoor use).

The other major issue was carrier & LG bloatware. The first thing I did after going through setup was to find an owners' thread that listed the 30+ apps that could be safely disabled. One process was crashing every time the phone was rebooted and I had to find a fix for that (in a thread where owners of the S4, S5, and both HTC One's were complaining about the same issue). Also of note: the G3's default NFC payment app was called ISIS (the name was, of course, subsequently changed by an update on the Play Store).

If I went back to Android I think I'd have to go with either stock (Nexus), or nearly stock (Motorola). The Z3 looks like a really great phone, but Sony has a terrible track record with their first-party software as an OEM (I would have smashed my old Vaio Z so many times if it weren't so expensive). Samsung seems to have the best displays and camera in the Android world, but couples with the worst and most inefficient skin.

The 6 and 6 Plus aren't perfect, but they do everything very well (and are the very best at picture quality, CPU/GPU performance, first-party software, & display accuracy), and do so in a beautiful package.

Apple need to trim down the bezels, I love the iPhone but seriously it's way too tall comparing to other smart phones imo...

Then what lose the Touch ID ? Gotta take what you can get for now. Other than the G3 the bezels all seem similar on most phones. We are talking about 3/4 of an inch at most. Yes they could make that all screen till you use a phone that's all screen and realize that you hate it. The S5 screen goes all the way down to the imaginary buttons and ever so often I couldn't even watch a movie sideways without constantly hitting the back button. I'm okay with it. Besides when I drop it and it cracks it will be in the un used black top and bottom lol

Why'd you buy it if you didn't like it so much?

Personally you would think a person that did not like the keynote would not buy the phone. I did not buy in advance. I went to a local store. I held the phone and played with it for a while then decided to order. Mines on back order but it was worth it to me. I'd rather experience the real thing on someone else's dime.

----------

100% Agreed.

It has an:

Awesome camera

Awesome screen

Awesome speaker

compared to all new smart phones it just trounces them.

ITA....two thumbs up

Such a dissapointment, I've had iPhone since the 4S, got the 5 and 5S, obssesed with Apple, watched the keynotes, on this forum everyday. I was excited for iPhone 6, but when I saw what it was during the keynote AND holding it in my hands at the store, the magic was gone. This is coming from an apple fanboy, not some android loving hater, I hate android by the way. The 6 just doesn't do it for me. It's just too tall, bezels too big, those ugly plastic bands, the way the screen tapers down makes the edges too reflective, the plastic seal between the aluminum and screen they try to hide, there is just nothing about it that makes me want it. It's uncomfortable to use, I hate having to reach to get to notification center and to get to the apps in the left hand corner, the double tap thing on the home button to reach is lame, a work around that's neither fun nor elegant. I will be sticking with my 5S for a long time, I have the black 32gb I think I'm gonna get white 64GB. This is one Apple fanboy, signing out.

Well, apple can't please everybody. Someone is always going to complain no matter what.... I'm sorry you are displeased with your iPhone. Maybe the 7 will be better, you'll just have to wait two years

I agree. We all know that Apple has been trying to make thinner and thinner phones with every new release. I think now, that they made it as thin as they can go, they need to focus on height of the phone. Specifically top bezel. They can trim at least half an inch from the top.

I don't know if you noticed, but iPhone's bezels are symmetrical. A person's eye LOVES symmetry. Look at nexus 5, it has assymetrical bezels and looks crooked. I love apple keeps doing things their way. Beautiful phone. Who cares avout the top bezel, it's not like you have to touch it or reach it with your finger.

When I saw it for the first time I had also the same feeling. It's big for my fingers.
But anyway apple products is worth to try them out and get used to them.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Apple decided to steal Blackberry's design to make the entire screen click-able someday? The bottom panel can be thinner, but still be touchID sensitive.
