Once apps get optimized for the 6+ and developers take advantage of the screen real estate you'll be wishing you kept them. Until then, enjoy your 6.

Will they though? Sure, some larger developers (Facebook, Twitter, ESPN, etc) might make iPhone 6 Plus optimized versions of their apps, but will it be a worthwhile use of time and resources for many smaller devs to do the same? How about those that have iPhone and iPad specific apps? Now they are going to make a third?

I'm sure a few will, but I can't imagine its going to be a huge rush to make that happen. At least not in the short term.

Of course they will. All developers are in the business of what? Making money. The future of iPhones no matter what people want to say is the 6+. It's the phone everyones talking about and there is a reason why you can't go into any store and get one. No app developers are gonna wanna see their precious baby in the App Store with a 1star rating because they refused to get with the times.

Everything happens in cycles. Not too long ago the trend in the market was to get phones as small as functionally possible. Now we're going in the other direction. Will that last? Who knows. But (smart) people in business don't ride the wave of trends if they're in for the long haul. You very well may be right that 5"+ screens become the new norm, but I wouldn't say its a slam dunk to happen.

And the reason you can't go into a store and get a 6 Plus right now has more to do with supply constraints than demand. Once supply levels off we will start to get a better idea of just how much demand for this phone actually exists.

C) Heavy and weight is spread out around the entire device (unlike the 4S) so holding it vertical is also fatiguing on your hand muscles.

if 6.07 ounces is too heavy for you, I suggest curling with 1 pound weights and gradually building up to 5 pounds. you should be able to hold it without getting tired when you get to that weight.

Why'd you buy it, then? Your complaints don't seem like they were ever in the market for a larger phone of that size, anyway. The Plus is truly a micro-tablet and can't be expected to be used in the same way as an iPhone 5s was....

Exactly. It is a micro-tablet, which is precisely what I've been looking for in an iPhone. As others have said in other threads, the Plus isn't for everyone. The 6 is not the 5c of this year, the 6 & 6 Plus are two different types of phones for two different user preferences.

I have spent multiple Apple Store visits trying out the Plus for several minutes, and it is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I can't wait to actually get to own one.

I have a feeling a lot of people will be returning the 6 Plus. Many were blinded by the slightly better specs and didn't consider the practicality of actually using a device that large.

I've rang Apple, and I got a 128gb iPhone 6 replacement coming. I love the 6 Plus but missing the ease of using a phone, the plus doesn't offer me that hence the return. Choice is good though peeps so don't knock the plus cause it's a great choice for those who want something bigger. Just not for me.

I love how people complain about arm fatigue from a phone....thats weight is measured in ouches....

With the iphone 6 you will also have more fatigue than with the iphone 5S but it is acceptable. I could not imagine how bad is with the 6 plus.

Also you forgot to include the bend issue. With that gigantic iphone it is difficult to put it in your front pockets and if you do you have a lot of chance that it will bend

This is a big issue even with the iphone 6 but you can live with it.

I am sure that in the future we will see a new iphone mini with a size like the 5S. They could place a bigger screen by removing the bezel and making smaller the top and the bottom

I said this when everyone was gunho about getting the Plus. Having owned a Note 3 for the last year, I already knew I wanted the Plus. But for everyone else, the 5.5 is just too big.

Good on you for admitting you were wrong.

its all subjective. people getting mad and/or defending the 6+ cause someone else didn't like it is dumb. or maybe it's just so Apple... get what works for you and enjoy life. f the rest of the noise. :apple:

If you want a 6 or 6+ and expect every app to be near perfect. You should wait until at least a few months before buying.

99% of apps do not support the screen size properly yet. Also, in your image the cursor is visible so unless you are using a keyboard of course you'll have the on screen keyboard.

Why do people keep starting these threads trying to promote one device over the other? Why does one size have to fit all? We're all individuals. Do you want everyone to have the same exact phone? You didn't like it, returned it, good for you. No need to insult it & call it an abomination.

Weight distribution is spread evenly - the device is just bigger hence more weight on more of your hand. Obviously this was cumbersome for you but many others are fine with it.

Tap the home button twice and it brings the screen and apps down to thumb level. Its the Reach-ability function.

The only thing I can say that OP has right is that a lot of the landscape stuff isn't working great. What works on the ipad doesn't work well on the Plus because let's face it, the Plus is still too small for it.

This isn't about "let's wait for iOS updates", it's what Apple intended in their own apps. I'm not sure why anyone would use email for example in landscape mode.

In that respect, the Plus isn't a very good tablet at all but what it does do well is make for a better iphone experience if you can tolerate the device from a one handed perspective. Most things on the iphone plus are much better in portrait mode IMO with a few other things like video suited for landscape. The things you normally use your phone for are just better on the Plus.

The screen is the best iOS screen to date. The battery life is much better than the 5S. It could use some beefed up internals but hopefully the S version takes care of that.

The bending issues are just nonsense. Besides, if it does happen for some strange reason, swap it out. You have applecare.

It's kind of stupid as well. No thanks..

You keep saying this same crap in every thread. Let me know when these developers you are talking about make the size of the phone smaller. 6+ was terrible to use. I exchanged it after a day.

Because its true. The 6+ is no where near its potential and I don't care who you are, there's no doubting it is the best screen on a phone ever. Don't be mad that the good lord didnt bless you with big enough hands to control a 5.5" phone player

Phablet haters will always be phablet haters.

Lol, kidding. To be honest, this is Apple's first foray into the phab category. Samsung pioneered it and they do a better job currently. I think 6S will be better.

I love the Plus. I couldn't go to the 6 now or ever go back to the 5. Yes, it's big but after 3 hours of use in launch day I love it.

I find it easy to use with one hand but mostly use two, which was how I mostly used the 5s. I have used my iPhone more in the last few days than I have used the 5s in the last few months other than calls. The screen is incredible and I hope they bring the same tech to the new iPad Airs.

Based on how you use a phone and your previous handset then the larger phone may not be for you. But this in no way gives you the right to decide if it is a good or bad phone for anyone else.
