Reading this thread was painful....just in case for those of you that don't have insurance, I found a site today, www.iresq.com. Never done business with them before, but I'm sending my daughter's iPod to them (iPod + Jones soda + purse = non-functional iPod (would that be an iPond? ))

Glad you got it resolved, though...let us know what case you get! :D

Ok heres the story. I was on the phone trying to get tickets to a movie and i turn to my friend to tell him they had tickets and im holding the phone with my shoulder and then it slips falls hits the tile. i go to pick it up and the screen is completely shattered all the way through.

Ill post a pic in a sec

Well you could always blame your friend and ask them to buy you a new one.
Seriously, I'm sorry that happened to you :(

i had no luck, not even sympathy, at the apple store ("it's glass, you know?"). i figured i would call apple before ordering parts from ebay. call volume was high, it took over an hour, but i ended up getting great response and they're sending me a new phone. i'm sure it's like the other stories here so far, hit or miss. i just wanted to update.

i still find the fragile nature of the phone to be a real problem, it's beautiful, but we all know good design solves for function, too. i'm telling everyone - GET A CASE.
