I think Apple Gave Me A New 2011 MacBook Pro !!

If you give them your payment info, and it is valid, and they never charge you, it is not stealing. Once you have given them the info, it is their job to charge you. The right thing to do is to contact them again and make sure, but if after that they still don't charge you, you're home free.

Why not? You'd certainly call them if you the situation were reversed.

Doesn't matter. As already stated, they will nail your ass sooner or later. Enjoy the delusion while it lasts.
 
Also, remember if this is true, they are NOT going to want to know a mistake was made. Somebody could get in serious hot water.

So by saying nothing you might be SAVING JOBS!

I'm not trying to get over on apple if I never planed on paying it I would never order in the first place... I work I don't need to take what's not mine

The reason I posted this add because I never order from apple before so I wanted to know what's up with them in charging my card..

Lol, we said it was immoral if you don't call them. You asked what to do, we said call them, you essentially said "no" because you're trying to get a free computer. You said "it's not my problem, they have my card." You're trying to get out of paying. What did you expect? Did you just want everyone to say "it'll charge you" or "nice man"? Some said that, but you're getting mad and defensive when people challenged you on your stance of saying it's Apple's problem not yours.

You didn't answer my question, if Apple overcharged you by mistake, but found their error, how would you feel if they said it was your job to notice, not theirs?

First of all, don't try to justify your dishonest intentions here. The title to this thread says it all, you are thinking/hoping you got a $2000 computer for free. Which tells me that your intentions are not to make this right, your intentions are to see how you can get away with this. By your reasoning, I should be able to walk into Best Buy and put something in my pocket and if they don't see me or catch me doing it then its not stealing. Thats a real crappy attitude.

Hell, I say go ahead and spend the money you had set aside for this purchase. That way in a few days you can come back complaining that Apple owes YOU money because the charge went through and stuff started bouncing on your account.

An earlier post said it best... do the right thing and call Apple. If it was a mistake they might give you something for your honesty... a discount on applecare, or a free accessory or something.
 
We had a guy eat at our restaurant and he paid with his credit card (as many people do). It turns out that he never got charged for it, when his statement came in and the meal wasn't on it he came to our store and paid for it in cash (with his receipt). All I can say is that this man made my day and increased my confidence in the honesty of American people.

Just a story I wanted to share.

If they over charge me then I feel it's my job to call them to tell them ... This like I fell it's apple job to fix the problem


The money is their I will not touch it but I'm not calling Apple they have to see it
 
If you already had your mind made up then why would you post here asking for our opinions? trying to showoff that you have low morals make me want to get ur ip and call apple myself.

I absolutely would. First of all I run a small business and I absolutely hate when people duck out on money they owe. It ends up costing me more money then their original bill was. Second, just for peace of mind I would want to make sure its taken care of. I wouldn't want the charge to come through two weeks later after Ive already spent the money and have it mess up my account.

They guy was already planning on spending that money on the computer. Do the right thing and give apple a call and see whats up. Give them their money. Anything less makes you a tremendous d-bag.
 
Im done here hopefully that mac burns up on you in a few weeks and you take it to an apple store. because im sure as soon as they look up the serial number they will see the payment wasnt received.

They did this on purpose . You are the lucky winner!

But it's a very low profile give-away. Happens to every.......lucky few.

But when I log onto to my apple order history it shows that it been charged

Because when I print out the invoice it says charge to the visa ending in ******

So what up with that

So true, +1. As much as I hate the bickering in this thread and these threads tend to never go anywhere. And I probably would probably not say anything to apple, this post right here basically sums it all up. Either you should've just not shared, or when you ASKED for help, and then just say you don't want to use anyone's suggestions, then what are you (OP) expecting?
