Isn't it about time 'Find my iPhone' was renamed?

Seen as though it doesn't just 'find iPhones' anymore, a more fitting name could be 'Find my Device'.

It just seems a little confusing for new users who may not realise they should also track their iPad, iPod Touch or Mac through the same application.

Its also about time they re-named iTunes :)

Nice addition of battery meter on Find My iPhone.

Find My iPhone definitely feels beta. The accuracy is not as good as the current stable version and the textures are off. Not fully baked yet.

Will they be bringing their iOS maps to the web version of Find My iPhone?

Speaking of "not fully baked", Find My iPhone needs the ability on the device to require a password for:

1) Powering off
2) Putting the device in Airplane Mode

Right now you can lock your "Accounts" under restrictions to prevent changes to iCloud such as turning off "Find my iPhone", but that does not stop the standard shutdown or airplane mode disabling. I wonder if there is any liability in requiring a password to power down a mobile device.

The new iCloud web apps will be live for all users with the launch of iOS 6, expected this fall.

WHAT? Whats the point waiting for iOS6 when all devices are compatible with it now? This should go live the day Mountain Lion is released!

Priorities wrong ???

Don't see the point of providing a notes app... when Galleries/Photostream, KeyChain, Bookmarks would be infinitely more useful (now MobileMe has passed)... wrong priorities in my view

Umm.. did no one notice this description?
The add-on gives users with lost gadgets some indication of how long they have to find their device.

Exactly.. "You have 5 hours to find your device" =P

The Notes interface looks really cheesy. No wonder Ive hates it.

All it needs is some Comic Sans.

I agree. Designing the applications to appear as a desk calendar or address book looks off. I prefer "Snow Leopard's" iCal and wish Apple would deviate from this GUI to a uniform, simple architecture.

Don't see the point of putting all this work into creating what has already been solved by other companies, including solutions that are completely cross platform. Why? There are so many other things that really need to be worked on by Apple (iWork updates? iLife perhaps? Logic Pro? Etc. Etc. Etc.?)

I seriously do not understand these apps.

They shouldn't upgrade iCloud -- or anything else -- until there is a new Mac Pro.

The web version of Find My iPhone has been polished, with a battery status icon as one new feature. The add-on gives users with lost gadgets some indication of how long they have to find their device.

Sounds like a fun game… 98… 99… 100! READY OR NOT SIRI, HERE I COME!

It is the visible stiching in the notepad cover that really lets me know I'm dealing with a piece of quality merchandise. A cheaper cover might use glue to seal the seams, but you know that will split eventually and then your cover will fall apart and your note pad and your reminder slips will be lose and could get exposed to rain or something. A nicely stiched leather notepad cover will keep them all together and organized.

I'm glad I stick with Apple because of their insistance on this level of quality.

"Increase customer delight." Glorious day!!!

Good point about powering off, but I don't think it's possible to put the device into airplane mode when the phone is locked with a passcode.

It would be great if Apple were ever to produce a full blown notebook app that could be utilized on iOS/OS X and was synchronized through the cloud...

...until then "Notes" is useless to me.

Bookmarks is already there. Tabs are coming in ML and iOS 6 already. As for galleries and photo-stream, you have that with iPhoto and Journals. So really all that's missing is keychain.

Why would anyone use Notepad instead of a piece of paper or lists? There are dedicated apps, like Grocery IQ, that are infinitely more usefull for that kind of stuff.

Notes are being viewed by Apple as an essential data type that belongs in iCloud.

I know a couple that enters their shopping lists on their iPad and then grabs their iPhones knowing the list will be there when they arrive at the store. Nothing special for them to do. Achieving the same with a third-party solution would involve the extra step of installing and configuring the app on all devices.

Don't you think they have multiple teams working on different projects?

Isn't that what this is? I'm confused by your stance.

I also view these iCloud apps as a testing ground for Apple to continue to push the boundaries of their own skills, tools and technologies. These web apps are really well designed to the point of not feeling like they are web-based at all. Impressive.

Can anyone tell me why these are here? Is it for users who don't use their own computer during the day?

Surely there's no need for this is you use your own mac/iPhone/iPad all day as it all syncs.

Is it for folk who use pc's are non-personally-owned mac devices during the day? :)

What's wrong with building your shopping list on an iPhone? Nothing, unless you're using Notepad! Then sure, a bigger screen is a plus.

How out of touch can the old folks at Apple be?

A 1950's Notebook is the best they can do?

Suddenly Google Tasks, Calendar & Other Apps are looking damn good.
