iMovies has it too.
But it has crippled version - you can't browse all supported services (like in Dropbox or Quip), only iCloud Drive. And so far Box, Dropbox and Quip support viewing their files in Document Picker.
iMovies has it too.
I just use an iPhone and iPad, would it be bad if I upgraded to I could Drive? I been reading that it's only good if I get Yosemite.
you can access it on icloud.com
Has anyone worked out if you can view iCloud drive documents in Documents 5? Doesn't seem to be working for me.
I subscribed to the 200 GB plan. How am I able to put my photos on my icloud drive storage? Would it just backup automatically?
I have Yosemite PB3 and have copied all my photos to iCloud Drive. At least that part seems pretty reliable so far. I can see the folders and pictures out on icloud.com. Unfortunately icloud.com doesn't have an actual picture viewer. But I can see that they are out there and backed up, which was my main concern. I have about 50GB of photos. This will allow me to go back to the basic membership of DropBox at least.

how do you get to that screen? is that in the imovie app? not seeing it?
Fake. Not possible
Fake. Not possible
So based on the real world pics of icloud drive I'm seeing, it looks like folders are categorized by application? For instance, if I create a Numbers file it is stored on iCloud drive in a "Numbers" folder? And I can only access the document in Numbers? What if I wanted to open the document in a different app on my iPad would I be able to (assuming the app supports the iCloud file picker?)
You should be able to do that, and the picker supports it, but the iWork apps don't do it even though they have been updated with "iCloud Drive" compatibility this morning.
So there's a standalone app for pretty much every device except iOS devices? Yeah, sure, totally not misleading.Of course there is no standalone app, there was never going to be a standalone app, and any misunderstanding is your own and not Apple's fault.
I have already replaced Dropbox with iCloud Drive, however I'm using Yosemite, where the file management aspect actually comes into play. It's also available through iCloud.com, but only in beta form at the moment.
I think the idea is that it's just supposed to work. Why are we worried about seeing the actual files? Because that's what we are USED TO. But really, it's not necessary. We should just have a system that works... we don't need to see how it works so much.
Just my opinion on why it is the way it is.
Doesn't even work in native apps? I mean, shouldn't you be able to save an e-mail attachement to iCloud Drive?
