No thanks. Not letting Apple collect anymore data about me. Only thing I let them have when I registered Touch ID is my middle finger. For example, Safari compromised password service is another guise for password data collection.

Wait. Stop the rocking horse. Does this mean I can use safari on my iDevices and Macs and Chrome on my Win10 machines without having to manage two password databases?

You already can if you use a third party password manager.

Everyone realizes that edge can use extensions from the chrome web store right?
Yes and no. Through group policys you can block "3rd party stores" in Edge Chromium, and which isn't uncommon practice by IT-departments. So you are stuck with only apps that are released in Microsofts Edge store.

Love seeing Apple expand the functionality of their services. One of the biggest hurdles to using a Windows machine as a secondary device as an iCloud user is password management. The very first thing I have to do when setting up a Windows machine is to install 1Password. While yes Edge can use Chrome extensions, if Apple can explicitly support Edge with this it'll be a big boon.

Assuming Apple supports Microsoft's plan to rework Outlook as a free software based on web technologies and it's going to be A LOT easier to live in both ecosystems seamlessly.

Why? I can use another password manager without issues and without the loss of anything.

If only this came to Firefox on Windows too. Finally one password manager across all my devices.

No interest in using Lastpass or 1Password.

Was is the issue people have with using LastPass or an alternative over something like the built in Firefox password manager in your case?

At face value this sounds awesome. Main reason I had to go with something else since I use Windows at work. But I would be very concerned about privacy and how my icloud keychain would be protected on a device without secure enclave. Regardless of what they don't I won't be changing, though. Not going to migrate hundreds of passwords and other things over.

What’s wrong with 1Password? I love that utility. Did I miss something?
I use bitwarden currently but have also used LastPass for a while. Any particular reason you wont consider them?
I find the process of having to launch an 3rd party app just to get to my password annoying. They lack the elegance of an integrated solution. This is especially true on iOS where I find jumping to a new app as abrasive as when the camera moves on its own in VR. It's worst when you have to jump to the app twice, once for the user name and then again for the password.
