iCloud+ to Let iCloud Mail Users Personalize Their Email Domain Name

Anyone else unable to define some alises where it just says it can’t proceed and to try later again?
Happens if the email was attached to an Apple ID before… and not removed.
The solution worked for me as well in order to avoid not getting the confirmation mail. The email is now shown as "confirmed".
But how do you use it as a "send as" address?
Now, I have the same when trying to set an alias up for my wife. Furthermore, no notifications for her about being able to define mail aliases were sent.
I'm new to this and am a little confused. I am using GoDaddy.
1. Regarding the CNAME update, am I to delete and replace my current CNAME DNS settings with the one apple provided or do I leave those alone?
2. I'm getting a "check your SPF record" error. I'm struggling to find my error here. I made sure to include the trailing "." and have tried using quotations around the text and not using the quotations to no avail. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212524 includes the quotes but the set-up instructions in my email and in iCloud do not.

I am not clear on this, are we saying that myemail@mydomain.com cannot be both my Apple ID identifier and an iCloud-hosted email at the same time?
ONly in the iCLoud beta interface and iOS 15. Doesn't work on iOS 14 or the old iCloud interface.
I'm with GoDaddy too. I seem to have the same issue. Have you since been able to get it working.

Ok, so I finaly setup my own domain and configure one custom email adress.
Incoming email works great, but I don't know where I can set this email for outgoing mail. I don't have any beta installed, just use beta.icloud.com.

Yep, I think we're on of the lucky ones where almost everything works... Just need to get an alias added for my wife. That the last thing. Works as expected and will make me keep in Apple ecosystemNot sure if I was just lucky or not but that process was very easy!
Set up custom domain, received verification email, changed DNS records, Done!
I can send and receive from the new account using mail in Monterey
Yeah, I'm moving emails back to iCloud at the moment, I'm fully in the Apple ecosystem now
Just tried adding the custom domain account into Outlook and that works fine too

Can be. But you have to configure it as iCLoud ID first and then setup the domain
Not true. I configured new email on my domain and it was added as apple id later then.
This is not your Apple ID. Apple ID is what you see when you go to appleid.apple.com
