Icon Depicting Design of Upcoming iPad Pro Models Discovered in iOS 12 Beta 5

If FaceID can be used horizontally then this new iPad will be like getting ones hands on the original iPad Mini.
 
Time to sell my current already unused iPad to buy this one as a replacement. I find it funny though that I am replacing it even though I don't use my iPad as much as it is. I use my iPhone and my MacBook a lot more.

Can’t say I agree it’s better for reading. If it is then why was there ever a reason to make it 4:3?

Because there is still plenty of room for the camera unlike the iPhone X.
 
Great!! Notch serve no function on iPad Pro large display. Waiting for this release, expecting more powerful A11X chips (or A12?).

This is will became my first iPad ever lol.

Amen. I was facepalming everytime I read people insisting it would have a notch „because the iPhone has it!“...

Seems like they haven‘t spent one second thinking about the different orientations, otherwise they would‘ve realized that a notch would make absolutely no sense.

Erm did you read the article? There will be no notch, the bezels will be thick enough to hide the sensors in there.
 
I wonder if FaceID will work in all 4 orientations. Without a visual clue like the Home button or the notch, it won’t be so immediate to understand if the device is upside down.

Cant wait to get this iPad..will be getting it for sure :) I wonder when they will release it..September? October?

White bezels should be gone since there is barely any bezel left. Not sure about the back, maybe still aluminium?

You don't think that's because they've stopped the outside leaks, and now only the low hanging fruit is left? I mean this is an iPad we're likely to see in less than two months, and just now we're getting an inkling that there's no notch. That's not a leaky Apple, that's an Apple that don't really mind that we get a peek.

(Of course they haven't really stopped the outside leaks, just look at the iPhone picture collection that's building up.)

(I suppose that sacrifices have to be made to appease the technology gods.)
