And just like that it seems to be gone...

Still up in the US store from my iTunes - Correction was able to find it via iDOS in the search bar but customer reviews are gone it's also no longer listed under the company name this may be in the process of being pulled..

But how would I get that to run on an iDevice? Does this app support running other apps? If so, how does it do that?

Yes, this is a DOS emulator. So you can run DOS programs on your iDevice (after you file-share them into the iDOS app, as people have been describing). Nesticle is a DOS program that emulates the NES. So you could copy a folder with Nesticle and whatever NES roms you have, and then run Nesticle in iDOS, and load a rom in Nesticle. My guess is it either won't work or will run too slowly, since running nested emulators is never really a great idea, but it's worth a try and would be really funny.

I'd be much more interested in an Atari 400/800 emulator.

I miss playing Lode Runner's Rescue and Racing Destruction Set. :D

Yes it is still available - Purchase through device!

I just was able to download the iDos app directly through the app store via my iPhone 4. It may not be accessible through iTunes on your computer so grab it through your device asap!

What would be awesome would be an Intellivision emulator in the style of the Scrabble app. I.e., the game being played/displayed on an iPad, while iPhone/iPod Touch is used as the control. That would be perfect...

I can't buy it on my 4 on the US store.

Sorry - not for me. I tried via the app store on my iPhone, not my computer. It showed up in the store, left me a gray "waiting" icon, and told me it was no longer available. I'm resetting my phone to get rid of the 'waiting' icon, since it's been sitting there for the last 5-10 minutes.

They pulled it from the US Store. I bought it about an hour ago using iTunes on my Mac. When I went to my iPhone to download it, it said it was unavailable.

It's really unfortunate that they pulled it from the store.

The issue with this, more than anything, is the inclusion of "abandonware" that is nothing of the sort. Ms. Pac-Man and Dig Dug are *NOT* abandonware. Just because the publisher doesn't sell the exact version anymore does not make it magically legal to distribute.

If they had just avoided including Ms. Pac-Man in the screenshot, they probably would have gotten away with it for longer.

Getting games into the app - first connect your iDevice to iTunes next select your iDevice from iTunes goto App's section under the app listing box that...

Thank you! It seems to run a bit slower than I was expecting but it works perfectly :)

They didn't... I'm in the U.S. and I purchased it from the same place you went to.

You can play with the cycles= and frameskip= options to increase some performance I would not exceed cycles=5000 and frameskip=3 but play with the settings if all else fails exit the app and re-open and the settings will be back to default

Turbo C Installed & Compiling Graphics Example

Well.. it's official, you can install & compile C programs with iDOS. Here's some screen shots of Borland Turbo C 2.0 Running, including the compilation & execution of the included BGIDEMO app that came with the compiler.

I have the Win 3.1 ISO file on my iPad and I see it in iDOS. What do I do now to install it?
