Dos it come with automatic reboot in the middle of important work before you have save the edits ?
:D

Oh thank you, that helps a lot!

If after setting the cycles and core=dynamic (depending on iOS version) the game is still not fully playable you can play with the frameskip=(1,2,3,4,5) I would not use over 5 normally 2-3 works well.

ex: frameskip=2

This would be neat, if I only understood how I could somehow get my DOS games to my iPhone:(

Both Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 were great. I hope it's how it was and it's not my memories glorifying things!

Getting games into the app - first connect your iDevice to iTunes next select your iDevice from iTunes goto App's section under the app listing box that shows what you have installed you will see File Sharing and the iDOS app from here you can download your favorite shareware as a .zip file from some dos shareware site and click Add then select the zip file and hit sync

After it's done loading start up iDOS and type dir and hit enter you will see your zip file in the main directory type unzip <FILENAME.ZIP> and press enter continue with installation as normal and cd to the directory that the game was installed and run the exe.

In my example I installed Commander Keen 4

There should be MORE apps like that on the App Store. Hope this is a good sign for more to come.

I found another way to do it without zips. Rename the folder you want to transfer to have a .app extension. Then after you transfer it remove the .app extension.

The main reason why I want a Windows 7 tablet is to play all of my emulators, from Windows 1.0 to my Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, etc, on my HDTV, through an HDMI port. Almost every game made from the 70s until 2000.

most games still require you to adjust the cycles you can do this via the c:/ by typing cycles=xxxx I think the default is 3000 I generally use 4500 - 5000 cycles for games like Noctropolis that require a little more performance

Also depending on your iOS version you can type core=dynamic to gain some additional performance

I just tried cycles=5000 and also cycles=100000. Mortal Kombat, Wolf3D and Doom runs too slow to be useful. It's still a very cool app!

Of course Wold3D and Doom have native iOS ports, so that's not really a huge problem. I own both games for iOS. :)

Why on earth would I want a Windoze 3 emulator? How about some Mac love. Bring back Finder 0.9 from the Mac 128K in an iPad app. I would probably buy that -- or MacPaint or MacWrite. Classic Mac stuff and not this cheap Mac knockoff from yesteryear. :)

So far, I've been unable to successfully download this app to my iPhone. I've purchased it in the App Store, and the icon appears on my screen, but it never starts to download and is stuck in "Waiting..." status.

EDIT: And as soon as I posted this, it finally started/finished downloading.

Got it on my iP4 running IOS 4.1 and ran DigDug...ok...now what???

Cool idea how do you get other programs on here???

As a followup to my last post, why not Pararena for iPad or iPhone? That game would rock on those devices! Classic mac games!

cycles=100000 would be quite overkill and the A4 can not process / keep up with that request anyway :) cycles 3000 should be about a high end 286 cycles 5000 should be more on par with a low to mid range 386 (Mileage will very depending on other settings ect)

The iPad top's out at about cycles=5500~ before the processor is capped at 100% utilization this is where additional optimization to the iDOS code is required and actively being worked on.
