What do you think the highest number of cycles an ipod touch 4g can mange is? I'm so very close to finding a playable game boy emulator.

I do not have an iPod touch but on my iPhone 3GS about 4000-4500 cycles is them max I can get before some serious audio issues start to pop up - however this also depends on what type of IO is going on in the background the way I do it is 5000 generally for most games but some games you can push to 7000 if it's not using alot of the graphic subsystem best bet is to just play with the cycles and see what you like there are some other changes you can do as well that *may* increase performance

one set of configs you can play with is the following all from the C:
core=dynamic
cycles=4000
cycleup=500
cycledown=20
prebuffer=100

Jazz Jackrabbit actually runs ok. Need to mess with NES to get it playable. Skyroads my fave dos game ever runs just fine besides sound.

Thanks ;)
I'll get tinkering. :)

I have metal gear running :D

Since we can kinda access the root and transfer files via itunes. Anyone think its possible to put in something like 'camera+.app' then move it to the app install folder via root?

I have pokemon running at about 50% now, it's almost playable (since it's turn based). I think with a bit more tinkering I'll be there.

This app actually lasted about 30 minutes longer than I thought it would. I did get it while the getting was good.

So I just tried with a Bluetooth keyboard - Sadly iDOS does NOT work with it. Sadly it seems like there will be no update to fix this, would have been very awesome to use a Bluetooth keyboard. Also frustrating how it works on Safari (I'm using it to type this now) - but won't work on iDOS. Oh well... :eek:

It might be approved if the developer re-submits it with some changes (to remove things like the root directory access that violate the iOS SDK terms).

Is it possible for me to buy this app directly from the developer and bypass apple retardedness?
