These huge ass phones nowadays are ridiculous.

I went to look at some today at an ATT store, and man, these things are for the birds.

But, on topic, 4.7. Even that would be pushing it. Honestly, i'd like a 4.5 inch screen. Gimme that in the 5C casing and i'm golden.

As an extremely satisfied Note 3 owner, a 5.7 inch iOS device sounds wonderful.

The world must end if everyone around me have their 5.7 ginormous cell phones on their faces when calling or anywhere.

The 5s will be my last smartphone if all smartphones are almost at least 5 inch. This is why we have 2 markets for those type of needs: tablets for the big size, discreet viewing / computing needs and a smartphone with the perfect, aesthetically pleasing size when it is in my / our face(s) and for calls etc.

People using phablets for everything, go away! It is no different during those good old days just few years ago before Apple revolutionized the industry when majority of the Americans were contented with their ugly dumb flip-phones.

Which ever has the most powerful specs if they have the same then I would go with the smaller

It will be 4.7 inches. Take a look at the HTC One. I have a feeling the next iPhone will have almost the same style as the One. It's a good size. Not small at all and not that big. Perfect size in today's market.

If the iPhone 6 is offered in 4.7 and 5.7 inch sizes, which would you choose?

4.7-4.8 would be perfect

If 4.7 and 4.7 were the only options I'd have to jump ship. I just don't like massive screens. 4.3 would be perfect for me. But any bigger than 4.5 and sadly I'd go android.

Please keep it at 4". There are already an abundance of apps that haven't updated for the 4" screen. If they switch it to anything larger then it's just going to increase fragmentation.

That and, I'm sorry but my thumb just does not reach "from here to here". The 3.5" was the sweet spot for me. For the record I'm just barely 6'0" and about 155-160lbs which is fairly average. Not saying that the average person wants a smaller phone, but that I don't have huge basketball player hands so phablets are the grossest thing in the world to me and I don't have tiny little hands either.

My guess is that Apple will release next year, either a 4.3 (some what unlikely) display or a 4.5 inch display using the same or almost same form factor (Most likely), and not even think of a 4.7 or higher. Apple went from a 3.5 to a 4 incher, and that is my guess next year, a 4.5 :D

You care how aesthetically pleasing your phone looks against your head? Get over yourself.

I would gather it would be 4.5-4.7 inch screen. Look at the Motorola X, it has a 4.7" screen an is practically same size as the iPhone's 4" devices

According to the iPhone fanbase, the iPhone is perfect size the way it is. So the answer to the question would be "neither".

This

I will probably hold onto my 5S if the iPhone 6 has a larger screen. I want a phone that I can easily fit in my pocket. I'm not a phablet fan in the least bit, which Samsung is making a big thing out.

At the end of the day, we are talking about a phone here.

I vote 4.7" or 5.0 anything above it is just too much, I had a Sammy Note II loved the phone but it was tough to put in the pocket and hold for long periods of time one handed.

Just release 2 models like this go round. A std 4" and a 4.7; no sense in annoying the faithful when you can make both camps happy.

Cheers,

The C model will remain 4 inch for those who want it, the 6 will increase in size.

4.7

The Samsung Galaxy Note lineup is solid as ever. However, the thing that annoyed me at times was when I wish I could use it with just one hand. Of course, the screen real-estate is awesome when watching videos and playing games with both of my hands but that's not what I usually do. I send texts and make calls alot; often when I'm on-the-go. With the N7000 & N7100, it was just nearly impossible to do that. On top of it, the N9000 (with a much larger screen) didn't really appeal to me.

Hence, I'm back with iOS again.

But.. One handed operation... Pockets.... BLASPHEMY! 4" IS THE PERFECT SIZE! Let us all justify our purchases!

No but really, a 2.5" screen would be so ridiculous that I'd get one.

I don't think either size will be offered, I just don't see Apple taking this big a plunge. I would say its a safer bet that the next iphone will be anywhere from 4.3- 4.5 with 4.3 being closer to reality and the phone having almost no bezels or gap room. Apple will come up with something clever that will keep the iphone 6 almost the same size as the 5 and 5s but increase the screen real estate.

As a long time ios user as well as android user that has had just about every high end android phone available I'd say I'm pretty much ok with the current iphone screen size and wouldn't be to interested these days in a giant screened phone.
