The problem is that if the iphone had never come out, all these google phones would look like BB copies.
I was looking at a BB before the iphone came out. I couldn't fathom paying money for the internet service, because I didn't see any value in it.
Very true.

But if were now a choice, it would have to be the Samsung Galaxy S2.

Blackberry Curve

I honestly can't go to another kind of touch-screen phone because it'll never be as buttery smooth and responsive as an iPhone.

Galaxy S II, shipped here to America, for me to put Cyanogenmod on. No living with TouchWiz, it's screwed me in the past.

If I tested and liked that new Nokia phone's functionality, I'd choose that. It looks so sick.

I like the look and feel of the N9, but with no ecosystem and no stellar features besides the simplistic UI, I find it hard to see that as an iPhone alternative.

Samsung Galaxy S 2.

In fact I have one on its way as a free upgrade on my contract (I bought my IP4 from Apple) but its going straight on eBay as soon as it arrives to boost the cash fund for my iPhone 5 :D

In Japan so we get some interesting smartphones. Not necessarily good, but interesting.

1. Galaxy S2

2. NEC Medias

At 7.7 mm its supposedly the thinnest android phone.

Nexus S, Galaxy SII or Sensation. Though mostly the Nexus, as 4.3" screens are perhaps a bit too much for me (not to mention the Infuse's 4.5!!)

Definitely an HTC phone, most likely WP7 not Android. The quality of HTC's phones is not matched by any other manufacturer IMO.

I don't like android too much so I'd probably go back to a blackberry. Maybe the new bold that's coming out hopefully sometime this year.

I recently had to do exactly that and got a Samsung Galaxy S 4G for T-Mobile to get onto my wife's family plan. This is my first Google phone so I will see how I like it once I get used to the differences.
