The case on your iPhone does more permanent damage when dust and debris gets between it and the device. Check out all the scratches on any jet black iPhone 7 that's had a case on it.

Buying a $6000.00 USB computer to use as a cheese grater is awkward. Many developers would like to have the economic resources to buy and work on it.
