finally. though I think they should just give up altogether and have iTunes open QuickTime when you want to watch a movie from your library. while the iTunes functions may be fine for audio I prefer QTP's interface for video.

I totally agree, however I don't see why they haven't duplicated (or IMPROVED UPON!) the QT interface within iTunes w/o necessarily having to go as far as launching QT as a helper app.

Apple has the opportunity for being the leader in downloadable video now too, but they seem to be blowing off the user experience. Had the iTunes user experience been as half-assed (controls, ability to edit TV or Music Video meta data for multiple files, comparable performance, etc.) with music as it seems to be now with video, then iTunes/iPod would most likely not be as dominant today.

I look forward to Apple ironing out these wrinkles soon as iTunes moves from music player & store to true multimedia manager.

maybe in iTunes 7, or 8.

and they still didn't fix the blog date issue. sheesh. did they not think that people might want to make blog entries for days other than today?

maybe I just missed it, but I also don't see an option to make your own templates. there's only one that I'd actually use, and it has pictures of scary looking people as presets. after seeing the Webmonkey review (which strangely seems to have vanished) I was all excited about the possibilities. but there's no template editing tool and the template files inside the .app bundle are filled with incomprehensible XML.

Anyone having problems with iWeb 1.0.1? I upgraded, hoping it would speed up the time it "uploads to .Mac" before actually uploading the individual pages but now it always crashes every time I publish. So I'm screwed now because I can't update my website.

Can't downgrade back to 1.0 as my brother has the install DVD in Leeds...
