...hmm...

(jeopardy song)

9:00 central time...still no go on the apps.

have to stay up now

well i'm here in australia too and after finishing work at 11.30pm decided i couldn't stay up till 3.
unfortunately on the way home i had an accident with another car who was going through a red light.
wrote my car off i think but luckily i only got a sprained ankle.
but with all the adrenalin pumping around my body now there's no way i'm gonna sleep anyway so i guess it's a good excuse to stay up!
and besides, by the time a toe truck came and i got a lift home etc it's now 2.01. might as well i reckon.

is that a regular policy, or just a recent thing?

I bought Jaguar when it came out for the full price from the Apple Store online, then Apple announced a discounted price for educators. I contacted them about it, and they gave me the difference in a rebate on my next purchase from the Apple Store online. So I bought an iPod!:)

I'm not sure how this will translate into a CompUSA purchase, but it's worth investigating.

As for email from Apple about the availability of iPhoto2 and iMovie3 downloads, I never got one, though I have a .Mac account. Also, it's currently 10:23am EST and still no download button on the website. Hmmm.

well my idisk is back up and there i no sign of imovie or iphoto. guess we will have to wait till later in the day.

Maybe 10.2.4 is also coming out, and they're waiting until it's put up on Software Update. I know iLife doesn't require 10.2.4, but maybe they are just going to upload everything at one time.

ITUNES3 yes, others no

I can download itunes 3 now but none of the others yet, has that already been established here by the horde of aussies?

Apparently their definition of "January 24" is also different. I wonder, are there any other dates that apple see differently?

Oh well, I am just happy the apps I want are free. When I buy my DVR-105, I will buy iLife.

You would think I would feel a little responsible for the forum all night since i was the first to ask what time they will be released and stated it might be midnight PST, but of course i dont <grin>, 5 Minutes till 9 AM PST! Like a fox!

I dont think Apple ever actually said January 31.. ThinkSecret said Jan31

Ugh i hope they will be released today, even though i have no current use for them, I just like using software update. On a second note if they are not updated today i hope someone from apple dosnt read this thread and release what losers we all are.

Apple did say it would be downloadable on January 31st. It was in the .Mac Connection e-mail that they sent out yesterday.

Regards,
Gus

Actually, this is from Apples .Mac email yesterday:

On Jan. 31, iPhoto 2 and iMovie 3 will join iTunes 3 as free downloads available at www.apple.com. iDVD 3 will also be released, and all four applications?bundled under the name iLife?can now be ordered on CD and DVD for $49.00. iLife is also included on new Mac computers.

Messin with our minds

Maybe....just maybe, Apple is reading our posts, and messing with our minds!
Stop it Apple......pleeeeeeeeze. We want our downloads! :D
