Anybody noticing the fake hate of the iPhone 13 Pro Max on youtube/tech sites? The depressing narrative gets clicks.. like if it ain’t folding, it’s no longer an option? Boring? Apple is out here polishing the crap out of these phones. Millions of people want a high-end candybar slab phone and this fits the bill. Like when you hold an iPhone it feels like a piece of jewelry with a fluid OS. I love it. Lmao millions of people are going to buy this thing. This year 13 line this year is amazing:

The 13 Pro Max is a freaking BEAST. 6.7” APPLE OLED 120hz Pro Motion display (paired with the already buttery smooth iOS), near 3 hours EXTRA battery (or maybe more) even though this is Apple’s first time using 120hz? And with 5G antennas? Brighter screen? Even better cameras? Same price as before? More powerful SOC? 128 base storage now? This is an awesome package.

Not to mention the new camera system which will most likely produce amazing results. Smart HDR 4 too… which no one mentioned either. When the XS dropped with Smart HDR, it vastly improved the image quality, I can’t wait to see what Smart HDR 4 does!

And that Sierra Blur color! It looks amazing to me, it’s like a glacier or icicle colored iPhone. I’ll always love the Pacific Blue but this thing looks awesome in this shade of blue.

I can’t wait!! Anybody else excited about it? Techie people online have become incredibly jaded these days that I think they’re in the minority.

Who cares what some person on YouTube thinks about the new phone. If you are happy with the new model, that is all the should matter.
I don’t mean it like that—like I’m not butthurt about it, it’s just excitement is completely drowned in absolute negativity online and it’s funny to me when the actual products are and have always been amazing

YouTuber’s are so extremely desensitized to this stuff because they see and hold so many variations of tech, so every single thing they see is a small iteration of what came before it. They also, despite what they may claim in their videos, cannot put themselves in the same mindset as the average consumer.

A lot of tubers create negative videos on purpose because, negativity gets a lot of views which means more money for them.

Yes, facepalm youtube thumbnail and words like wrong, don’t be like me etc… I don’t like many of them…

Right, so for the average consumer (us) Apple’s offerings have always been incredible IMHO. Probably the most premium phone of all, reliable and feature rich. These things are incredibly attractive to normal everyday people—so sometimes it’s exhausting scrolling through a lot of foaming at the mouth hatred for this phone not having a gimmicky feature that a competitor has—when we want to just see the things it does do correctly.

I think they knocked it out of the park with the 13. Even the notch got smaller! And I never minded the notch at all! Bonus.

Oh God hahaha, but those very same iphones are the ones they’re personally going to use in their everyday life. LOL 😂

This. Exactly. Spend your money the way you want... and bugger anyone who wants to rain on your parade... I'm not buying this year, but not because some talking-head-wannabe told me it was crap...

It’s basically the 12 S. Which means it’s a solidly refined version of what was done last year. That’s not good enough for some people and they make a lot of money trying to convince you it’s not good enough for you, every year. Apple moves at a slow pace. It’s been this way for years. I’m not always thrilled about that myself, but it is what it is. If we listened to all of these videos, we’d all be carrying around iPhone 6’s and X’s because I see lots of people keep insisting Apple has done nothing noteworthy since introducing those models.

Apple is concerened with making the best, most polished smartphone for the end-user.

Tech content creators are concerned with flashy "bells and whistles" that will give their videos clicks, like foldable screens.

Apple is listening to the customers; not the tech freaks - this is why Apple is winning and Samsung is losing the smartphone battle.

I think many people, not just YouTubers but people on forums, are trying to convince themselves that the iPhone 13 is basically an iPhone 12. And I suspect many of those are people with an iPhone 12, who try to justify themselves that this year they are not upgrading to the latest.

And... That’s a biased point of view. Hey, it is OK to not buy a new iPhone every year, you don’t need a justification. It is OK if the next iPhone is better than your iPhone. But some people apparently want to lie to themselves saying that this is not the case this year.

iPhone 13 is better than iPhone 12, get over it people. Maybe CPU wise is not an upgrade, but it is GPU wise, battery wise, the system memory bandwith, the cache, the video streaming hardware encoders and decoders (I think this will become the most important feature of the A15 and M2) the new, improved cameras with the body shift optical stabilization on no pro models, the better 5G radio with a more power efficient chipset...

Ok, maybe it is not a big jump, just like it wasn’t with the XS, or the iPhone 7, or the iPhone 8, but it is still a jump and it is going to be a better iPhone, like it or not. And that‘s another type of hate this year’s iPhone is receiving, just from iPhone 12 owners.

As you said, this is more like a 12S, they just called it 13 for marketing and because there are aesthetic differences (the camera position, the reduced notch) and an S model has always the same external design.

I don’t understand the complaints about how it wasn’t that big of an SoC speed boost over the previous gen (e.g. Luke Miani’s video). We all knew well ahead of time that the chip was going from TSMC’s N5 to N5+ lithography and that the performance improvement was going to be relatively minor. A14 to A15 was still like… 6 years of performance improvements by Intel standards.

A large majority of YouTubers (not all) are sell-outs and shills. Whatever gets them clicks they’ll feed off of. It’s cringy and pathetic. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some good content out there. But a lot of them are nothing more than a $hitty used car salesman.

Edit: To answer your question (lol), I’m very excited for this iteration. I’m coming from a XS Max so this will be quite a nice upgrade for me.

Most of those “tech” YouTubers are on the same level as sales people at the computer store. Completely worthless.

These guys aren’t regular phone users and they need things to talk about to get the YouTube checks so yes the majority of them probably use android due to the randomness of the companies and what they’ll do next.
