Well Im finally in the army(I was suposed to join 3 months ago but a surgery on my toe slowed me down). I'm 17 years old and a senior in high school. My MOS is 13 Bravo Cannon Crewmember. Look it up on google or youtube. I'm going to basic training/bootcamp on June 10 of this year in Oklahoma, just a couple of days after graduation. I get to go to airborn school after bt and my initial training. Ill most likely do a one year term in Iraq. I get sworn in this Wendsday. Any questions, go ahead and ask. Ill keep this updated.

Can't say congrats until you finish basic so lol... Thanks for your service and good luck in Fort Sill and in combat zones.

Congratulations, good luck, and stay safe! We all appreciate your service to our country. :)

thank you for serving our country

The only thing better is serving our country as a Marine ;)

Seriously though, thanks!

My uncle, grandfather and brother all joined the Navy after high school, and I nearly joined myself, but of all things it was a woman that kept me landlocked. :)

Thank you so very much for your self sacrifice and service to our country in defending our freedom. You're a good man and I wish you the best of luck! :D

Congrats on enlisting, and thank you for your service to your country!

I noticed that you mentioned that you will be going Airborne. Since you aren't there yet, I have one thing to say:

Well Leg, get on down and push out twenty. ;)

When did he say he was going to the 101st? I thought 13B Cannon Crew Member was to service and operate field artillery.

From what I searched up on Google, you have an NCO down to the bottom, one man sites and the rest load and fire the round.

Sorry if I missed something though (about the Airborne).

Very simple. One reason is money for school. Another reason is serving my country in war and in the civilian world. Lots of diffirent reasons why. I can go on and on.

Is it still "serving your country", if the cause is unjust?

He didn't.

He said that he was going to Airborne school after BT. Assuming he makes it through the school, he will be Airborne rated and not a nasty Leg.

That's why I told him to drop and give me twenty because he is currently a nasty Leg.

BTW, most Airborne folks go to the 82nd. The 101st while an Airborne Division, is now Air Mobile and moves via helicopters for the most part. it is listed as the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault)

I'm so sure that's what a new recruit really wants to hear...
Obviously, you have not been to BT. :p
