Yeah. Because nothing will address the iMac's heat problems more efficiently than asking the GPU to juggle another 11 million pixels, on top of the 3.7 million the 27" model handles today.

I want one, so I can play games at 5120x2880 and 100 fps... for 3 seconds, before it melts a hole all the way to the Earth's core.

Lol... :D

I was thinking that ... didn't want to open the can-o-worms that is defending the validity of the MP future  maybe Apple will design something like transformers... power-up combined ;) (new imac + mac mini + rMBP = new MP)

Yeah! The iMacatron!

Waiting on Haswell personally

Hopefully by August next year they will be updated with Haswell. Knowing Apple, they will push out till 2014, but I hope not.

Like others, I am hoping for a more powerful GPU and USB 3.0.

Back Haswell, it would be Apples benefit to go Haswell immediately when it becomes available since it is 20% faster than Ivy Bridge while using less power.

Shhhhh! Apple have probably forgotten that it exists. As soon as they remember they'll go and change its design so that it looks as ugly as the new iPod nano's. :(

If Apple announced an iPod Max with the same general shape, design and features of the iPod Nano with a 160 GB drive - my checkbook is out.

An iPod Touch with 160 GB drive - I'll hit the ATM and run to the Apple store with cash in hand.

As great as all these updates would be, I feel like it's a little unlikely that all of our dreams are coming true in this one event...

Why? It would end up costing like $299 and would basically be an iPod touch without all the useful features. No wifi, no app store, no camera, no imessages, no itunes store, no browser...

An iPod Touch with 160 GB drive - I'll hit the ATM and run to the Apple store with cash in hand.

That makes a bit more sense.

And CPU,GPU,ODD(There better be one) and the HDD(Though hopefully SSD) !

Well said. Those items were assumed to be addressed. My concern is the wave of sealed devices with no ability to modify or enhance.

GPU on the 21.5 (if there is a 21.5) is hopefully a major step up above the 2011 2-.5 gpu.

Don't call for it, that update would be a discontinuation. ;):(

Glassed Silver:mac

Very strong possibility. The iPod classic is basically obsolete now. The only reason anyone would buy one is if they needed extra space, and they will eventually have 160GB hard drives in the iPod touches so I can see the iPod classic being discontinued within a few years. The end of the click wheel devices. :(
