More importantly why wait until now to release a pic of something that has "changed a lot" since they took the pic. Why not release the pic when it was taken. I say this is some kid in his bedroom having a laugh.

More importantly why wait until now to release a pic of something that has "changed a lot" since they took the pic. Why not release the pic when it was taken. I say this is some kid in his bedroom having a laugh.
It looks like some design cues were taken from recent OS X apps, IE the OS X iTunes icon looks like that iOS music icon.
Hahaha why would they even make a story out of this? Macrumors may suffice as a rumor site for dull 13 year olds.
The screen doesn't line up because at best it's a photo of a photo. It may even be a photo of a photo of a photo.
As we note, it's been said to be an early version, so all icons wouldn't necessarily have been changed yet.
We certainly can't say for sure it's legit, but it seems that certain reliable sources have indicated that it is. Just a very early version that's changed a lot since that point.

Wait a minute, is this shot a picture of an iOS being taken by an iPhone taken by and iPhone? Wait, I can do better!
Looks like a photo of an iPhone showing a photo of an iPhone running (the purported) iOS 7.
That's why the menu bar appears not to line up -- if you look closely, you can see something that resembles a battery symbol above the camera icon, but below the clearer battery symbol (showing 23%).

Because of a swipe animation between pages, opposite to coverflow would do this.
