Okay ... when will we see black keys? C'mon Apple ... your computers are becomming silver, dark grey, black and gold, but the desktop keyboards have still white buttons?

Johny Ive, shame on you!

<yawn> I'm still mystified that Apple prides itself on being innovative and has such strong products yet the crappiest keyboard (imho that is! :)

I wish they had an ergonomic keyboard like the Microsoft natural.

Our wrists don't sit naturally board straight like you need to set them in order to use an Apple keyboard. It's blown me away since day 1 when I start using a Mac. Ridiculous.

I should clarify that I do value the thinness and the tactile feel of the keys (plus the colours), but honestly, no ergonomics is a mind blower (again, imho...others may disagree lol

Fixed the battery spring?

The REAL thing I want to know is whether they've fixed the ghastly mechanical design.
The current one uses a spring which is just slightly too weak to push the battery against the end to make electrical contact. So, as the spring gets weaker, you start losing contact and have to do idiot things thing folding up pieces of aluminum foil to make the battery slightly longer to still force contact.

(I'm not making this up. Do a google search for "apple wireless keyboard aluminum foil" and look at the LONG list of entries there, each one representing a very obvious failure on Apple's part.)

I expect there's also a haptic magic trackpad coming, and the logical thing would be to launch it with the new keyboard.

Do you have trouble pressing all the other keys which are a lot smaller than our return key?

No, but that's a key you use so much. I always press the left edge of the US key, so I would have to change the way I type for this keyboard.

It just surprised me, I didn't mean to come off insulting or critical.

Nice but not what I was hoping for...

I was hoping for a backlit keyboard as I enjoy my MB keyboard very much in low light conditions. Also I am still hoping on a Trackpad with fingerprint sensor thingy.

aww just got one recently, though I wonder what the backlight does to battery life.

It would probably bother you if you've grown up using those gigantic American return keys :p but it's not a problem if it's all you have ever known. :D
