SO the bezel is thinner. Does that mean the computer is actually smaller? That would be amazing. I want a 15 inch for the more powerful hardware but having it slightly smaller would be awesome!

Aww, thats ruined the keynote surprise a little.
That looks like the MBP is indeed getting that awful butterfly keyboard. I had so hoped it would get the one they used in the Magic Keyboard...this might actually be a big turn-off for me...and I NEED a new macbook... 
Am I the only one bothered by the lack of an SD card slot? So now when traveling I have to carry and extra adapter to upload pics from my DSLR? That sucks. I love Apple, but the whole trend of eliminating features still widely in use really irritates me!
(Still trying to find a decent app to replace the "digital picture frame" feature originally built into iPads. Would it have killed them to leave it there?)

There isn't a chance it will include a headphone jack. If you want headphone jacks you buy the old models. The latest model will be what apple sees for the future several years not what it has done in the past several. If they weren't ready to pull the plug on the headphone jack they wouldn't have pulled it on the iPhone which is far more popular than MacBook Pros.
Do what every Vim user I know does and reroute escape to caps lock. Better in every way. Unless there's another issue we're talking about...?
I'm guessing use VIM. The function keys can easily appear on the magic toolbar.

Just get a 2015 on the cheap, if the keyboard's that much of a deal breaker. They're still solid, capable computers.
I was hoping for a smaller footprint but the bezels look about the same size as the existing MPB!
Hmmmm..... maybe for the secure element ? But could be a simple S2 driving the OLED panel as well.

"Magic Toolbar"? Sounds like a name Microsoft would choose. I'm pretty sure Apple would go with something like "Magic Touch".

No, you are no the 'only' one. Any DSLR/Mirrorless camera owner will be bothered but overall the number of us is relatively small and apple isn't afraid of having people use adapters based on past experience. So why its not certain they will get rid of it, I say there is a high chance, and they will instead sell an adapter with an SD card port.

The only real advantage to Kaby is graphics. Check out Intel's web site on the subject.
Where do you base that off? It looks EXACTLY like the rMB keyboard.
I really like that the Macbook Pro logo is back, it looks nice.
Maybe Esc has been replaced by a new keyboard command - Command + Four Leaf Clover + Tild
