ARM Processor on board for Touch ID, OLED & Hey Siri?

And here it comes again. Can't you all just enjoy the moment?

Do you complain when given a Christmas present that it wasn't what you wanted?

I like the speakers on either side of the keyboard and just hope they knocked at least a half a pound off the current 13" MBP.

Hopefully this means that Apple finally opens up to a Trusted Platform Module or Secure Element.

I'm a bit skeptical of this new OLED bar.

How many folks look down at their keyboard when doing work? I do a lot of typing and I rarely do.

So Apple brings about a feature where I have to look at my keyboard down from the screen to use something and I can't use muscle memory to hit the ESC key but be afraid that I may hit the *wrong* thing?

I'm not sure how good of an idea this is, will need to use it for a while to see if it's going to increase productivity or just get in the way.

It's a shame that (unlike the existing rMBP) Apple have decided to slap "Macbook Pro" branding at the bottom of the screen. I always though the lack of in your face branding while using the machine was pretty classy.

Lol, people here were just as peeved when they removed the 'MacBook Pro' branding from the rMBP's display.

Face it. Nobody will ever be 100% satisfied.

Hmmmm..... maybe for the secure element ? But could be a simple S2 driving the OLED panel as well.

If they are including an S2 I would think they would use an ARM with secure element as well instead of Intel's secure element

Just get a 2015 on the cheap, if the keyboard's that much of a deal breaker. They're still solid, capable computers.

I'm a big BIG MBA fan...the current rMBPs are too thick/heavy for my personal taste. But the MBAs probably never gonna see retina and I wouldn't buy a Mac without retina, nowadays.

No, you are no the 'only' one. Any DSLR/Mirrorless camera owner will be bothered but overall the number of us is relatively small and apple isn't afraid of having people use adapters based on past experience. So why its not certain they will get rid of it, I say there is a high chance, and they will instead sell an adapter with an SD card port.
I seriously hope 1) they come up with a dock instead of 12 dongles and 2) that dock will not cost €299.

The details are very nice.
Can someone explain me where is the on/off button?
Isn't there a need for a physical button?

Was thinking the exact same thing! Doesn't the on/off button need to be a physical button? And if it is on any location besides above the keyboard, that is going to be really weird.

We have less than 48hrs to learn the truth...the suspense is killing me...

EDIT: ok now I see that the touch ID area is separate and might also serve as the power button. Makes sense.
