Images of Next-Generation iPod Touch Surface?

It might be if MS wasn't 3 years too late with it and if the media player market has as much relevance as it did in 2007.

Well, I hope Apple finds the person who leaked these pictures and forces them to kill themsleves and then settles with that person's family for $50,000.

I've always wondered what the consequences for breaking the NDA are. I bet they'll just sue you to your deathbed.
True, and this makes one wonder how the hell Apple manages to market the iPhone/iPod Touch in foreign countries that use non-Western alphabets.
It probably hasn't occurred to anyone because it makes absolutely no sense for a company, as opposed to a garage bound kid, to start from anything but a BRAND NEW shell. And if you want an iPhone, but can't afford $149/month, then get the standard $75/month that most get. Or $70/month w/o texting. Or buy a first generation for around $200, and it's $60/month, with no contract. Or jailbreak it and go prepaid. The data plan adds $1/day to a phone bill. If you don't need/want web access when you're not around wifi, then get an iPod. If you need/want web access, get an iPhone.
Without question, I think the new Zune will be a must have device for every microsoft employee. Maybe even for members of their families who aren't in the 9 to 39 age bracket. I think microsoft will sell thousands of them.
I don't necessarily think this is fake, in fact I figure it's real. But I WISH it was fake...I want a redesign and I want the camera to be on one side or the other...not the center. (Mostly so when you hold it sideways you can get a good hold on it without your hand covering the camera)
It is real,. but the one we saw is not the one we are getting in September. Apple can do better then that.
also, those who are saying Microosft is "3 years late" while some may be true, I think OLED and HD radio is right ahead of what apple is doing. Even the Zune's design is ahead of apple with the stainless steel backing.

The first thing you have to assume, especially on the internet, is that all picture's/video's are fake. I'm as big a fan of Apple products as everybody who visits this website but this is a bit over the top. There's something about "leaked" items on future products that doesn't sit well with me.
I've noticed that some people are saying that these pictures might be Photo shopped? Photo shopping pics? Who has the time and energy to do that? I don't get it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 3rd Gen Touch comes out in about a month and a half? Why cannot you just wait?

the fact that these are photoshopped is cleared, I've downloaded them and examined them, the ones with the camera are either real or smartly photoshopped but look at the last one, the one that states Apple 2009, the part where it says it, look closely and you'll see that the writings are in the wrong position, the "A" from Apple, "8" from the second line and the copyright sign are all out of bounds, they aren't where they should be! if you look at other writings in the device like where it says China a little above these writings you will se that you can hardly read them but the part where the mentioned are written is completely readable, WTF?

Exactly. Zune is too little, too late. Especially if the new iTouch (thats what I call it, sue me) has the same speed as the 3GS (incredibly fast) as well as a camera. What does the Zune offer? OLED? Thats just a buzzword, most people have no clue what that even means. HD Radio receiver? Thats kind of cool, but still. Windows marketplace? Lame.
iPod will continue to blow the Zune out of the water.

Then what about the video, can you photoshop a video? That vid proves it. Remember PROTOTYPES are sloppy copies. it doesn't have to be perfect. Also why is the circuit board red? Red means a prototype.
I can almost bee 99.8% sure this is a REAL PROTOTYPE OF THE 3rd gen iPod touch. The final version may not look exactly like the prototype, but it will atleast have a camera and faster speeds.

Yes. I'm also doubting that their will be a plastic back because as thin as the touch is now, the plastic would need to be made strong enough so it can protect the guts. But because the iPhone recieved no different outer shell, I think the touch might be the same.
