Imax Battery Extender?

battery extender to use with otter box?

the video looks like the sanyo will work with an otter box in place, does anyone know about the IMP?
 
Does anyone have some real life charging stats for the IMP500. Under what circumstances can you get 3 to 3.5 charges?

How the heck do you even test the claims accurately?

On a fully charged IMP500, I can charge my iPhone from 20% to 100% four times (or more but the IMP500 will die due to low bat), for me that's impressive cause I've had this product since last Nov 2008. I'm talking about my own observations from daily usage of this battery.
 
Beware ordering from Imax Power with Gmail/Acct. Hacked

FYI I placed an order yesterday and my Gmail account was hacked shortly afterwards. I would suggest using an email account other than Gmail if you order from there, and do not create an account.

Odd why would they want to hack your Gmail email account? I've been doing business with them for quite a while and I've heard of no such occurrence yet. Did you call them about it? John I think is the person you want to talk to.

I'm sure it was NOT the company that hacked it, but someone hacked THEIR site and thus my email. China and Google have not been getting along lately! So as I said, don't order with a Gmail account or create an account on their site with a Gmail account if you do. I did both of these things and I'm not sure which was the problem.

I sent an email to them to let them know.

This is the email that was sent from my gmail account to all of my 200+ contacts:

I did hear about that Google and China not going along together, that sucks that your account got hacked in conjunction with what's happening to Google's move to stay away from China.

Well I hope you get your account back, nowadays emails are on the spotlight for acts like this.
 
My Gmail is back to normal without further incident - I changed the password immediately.

I also received a nice email from John from Imax Power . I have had this Gmail account for years and never had an incident until this. I would urge people to use caution when using Gmail for orders from China!
 
I am considering the IMP880 for extended trips without a constant power supply. Would imax be reliable? I saw a few complaints for ZAGG and it was off my list.

Elaborate because this is hard to believe.

Is you phone on or off when charging...what else is on.

Do you unplug right when you hit 100.

Are you using the phone during the charge.

I'm just writing what my observations are, but to be honest it works like what I've said.

The phone is on while charging, I usually charge it when I hit that 20% indication. I have 3G, Wifi and Bluetooth on.

Yes I use the phone during the charge, I either txt, surf, or talk to someone over the phone for like 5mins then I let it charge by itself and leave it on a desk.

I don't unplug it right away when it hits 100% since I'm usually away from it and I don't notice it. As soon as I see the plug icon I unplug it. The charger doesn't have auto off as well.

This is the best battery that I've purchased so far, worthy investment if I must say.

I can back this up. For about a year, I've used the IMP500 and I get about 4 charges out of it when down to 20% or so. I'd say at least 3.5 closer to 0% and in the year I've had, I've noticed no decrease in battery power. I've also flown from the US to Europe and back home, while plugged into the IMP5000 watching movies the entire time, both ways, and the battery still had juice in it once I got home. So far, the IMP5000 is the best Battery I've owned.

If you keep on getting unsatisfactory results, I suggest for you to contact John, from IMAX, and advise him with your results on your battery. I'm sure he'll work something out with you.

Wow Rayfire you've had yours since November 2008! Thats crazy!!! Have you noticed a big decrease in the battery capacity?
 
Here are my results from my latest trial:

Charge 1 = From 22% to 100%
Charge 2 = From 16% to 100%
Charge 3 = From 18% to 100%
Charge 4 = From 15% to 33%

No 4 charges here...
