Imessage test

id like to test imessage with someone. if anyone is interested please pm me, thanks

You must have encountered a bug. Try when connected to WiFi.

The caller id shows what you have set it to.
 
im not trying to be rude, but why is it that when i click on member profiles, most of the ones ive clicked have only posted on MR 1 or 2 times.. and like the above poster has an account from 3 years ago, only 2 posts.

very weird. do these people have lists on handles they keep haha?
 
i understand, and im not saying you are a freak or anything.. just kind of random, from what i have seen so far in this thread.
 
Can anyone validate when someone sends you a picture through iMessenger (they have iOS5) and you click the image then try to save it - It does nothing? I attempt to go look in my photo stream but do not see it there. Anyone else? I haven't tried to save a normal image via MMS with someone w/o iOS 5 but will try later.
 
Has anyone seen the name in red before? This happens after a few seconds of checking to see if it should send iMessage or SMS. I typed a message and it sent as SMS. Odd.

yes the red means the user you are trying to message is not on an ios device or not on ios5 yet


can you enter your user em ail address on more then one device?

that's weird, because whenever I type in a contact that is not using iOS5 after checking for a few moments it turns green indicating an SMS will be used.

Yep same even if i type in an email thats not using ios 5 it defaults to MMS

You can just ask kindly for the person messaging you to stop. That's what I did when I had enough of testing and some real friends got iMessage, the people on MacRumors understood and stopped messaging me. If not you can change the ID or hopefully before GM we will get a few more iMessage features.
 
I just installed beta 3

Hi. I just updated my iPhone to iOS 5 beta 3, and I really wanna try out iMessage.(none of my friends has iOS... unfortunately).

But since most of u guys r prob sick of testing, I'm posting my email address here so that pp who aren't sick of trying iMessage, can add me XD.

Ummm, why are people saying you can message on an e-mail address? This is ridiculous. It is using the Apple ID which MIGHT be the persons primary e-mail address, but not necessarily the one that you normally associate with them.
