Yea makes no sense, and if it is so bad already, how much worse will it get as the day goes on?

Great. I’m still healing from a twisted ankle and my others foot is just bad. It will be painful to have to stand that long and probably not help my injured foot heal. I hope they let me sit down somewhere to wait if it really is that long.

Pickup window thing is kind of a joke. Mine is from 11-11:30 and I’m stuck in a super long line that’s as long as the line for people that didn’t pre-order. Not sure I get the point of the window if you have to wait in a long line anyway. This is at Millenia Mall in Orlando.

I should have done an earlier window. I’ve been in line for 30 minutes and I’m not even close to the front. Still have to wrap around the queue 4 times then it continues into the store wrapping around the right side of the tables all the way to the back of the store. Probably looking at a good two hours.

If this is what I have to go through, this will be the first and last time I will ever do in store pickup when pre-ordering.

50 something minutes in line. Just now making it into the store. Line still wraps around the side all the way to the back.

They must be having tech issues. Showed up this morning at 745am for my 8am window. I was back in my car by 815am.

Sorry to hear the line has grown so much since.

Is it possible these are isolated incidents? Or is every store now backed up two hours? Unacceptable. I have to pick my kids from school and set a specific time on purpose.

Finally made it out. Took about an hour and 15 minutes. Not as long as I thought when I arrived but way longer than I thought it would be when I selected in-store initially.

My experience was nice and smooth. Had pickup time reserved for 8:00 to 8:30. Got in line around 7:45. I was probably the 15th or so person in the line. Went in right at 8 and was processed ready to go by 8:15. I did hang around a little to finish my restore.

My local ATT store is expected 10 Max and 1 pro. They had loads of regular 11s in stock. He’s gonna text me if they arrive. If so I plan on canceling the in store pick up. No way do I want to deal with waiting hours when I have a set time.

Finally, I picked up my midnight green 512 gb sim free pro max with apple clear case and belkin screen protector installed before lunch at my local apple store. It is truly a beautiful and powerful phone.

Reporting in from DC metro area.

Apple Reston and Tyson’s Corner both had barely a line this morning.

Reston Apple 8:30am, was pretty tame compared to last year.

Tyson’s Corner Apple 9:30am, much smaller line for no reservation customers. Didn’t even see the usual Chinese resellers except for a Vietnamese family buying a bunch for overseas shipping. I think the US model has different bands than the China iPhone 11 model.

I was lucky here in the UK. I reserved my phone for a 5pm pick up, but managed to get the day off work so I went in the morning. Got there around 11am and they let me pick it up as soon as those with that specific time slot had been seen to.

It definitely depends on your store. My store had two lines, one for reservations one for walk ins, and it went really smoothly.

I was a walk in and it took me less than an hour between arriving and walking out with my phone and people with reservations were in and out of the store in minutes.

When I was leaving, there was only 1 or 2 people left in the walk ins line.

Is there only 1 Apple store in that area? I feel like all of the madness is coming from Orlando haha.

How does the trade in process work with in-store pick-up? Anyone?

You basically.. tell them you're going to trade it in. they'll print a label out and all..

For me i didnt tell him i was trading it in and forgot, so i went to the back when i picked the phone up, the guy took my XS and asked for my bank card to swipe to issue a refund for the trade in value too.

My pickup was 8:30 to 9; only had like ten people in front of me, and there was around 30 employees or so. i was in and out in like 30mins.
