Cant find these anywhere, except for Incase, where total shipping together will cost $75....(wish I had the $40 best buy option :((()

Which Houston location did you find it at?

Got it from the meyerland one, bought an extra one for my dad, but he didnt like it so I am returning it to the galleria one this week...

I still am on the fence if I want to keep it. This was my first ipad, and obviously my first cover, but I was having similar problems with keeping it stood up and it is a little bulky.

So...i got bored and i missed the lock/unlock function of the smart case so for the past two days i've been messing around with some magnets trying to add the function for this Incase Book Jacket.

1st: I tried the staples magnetic tape, but I don't think the magnetic tape was strong enough to "penetrate" the leather housing the ipad. So i returned it. this would have been the best option b/c of it's adhesive back and thinness. regardless, didn't work at all. So i returned it.

today: i went to Michael's to see if they had a better selection of magnets and they did. So i picked up a pack of the .5in diameter ones. cost me less than $2.00 for a pack.

these worked out great. Did a few tests to make sure it would function and it does. However, my only gripe is the thickness of the magnet. It's a little too thick. So i grabbed a pair of pliers and an exacto knife and sliced the magnet in half. So now it's roughly .25in but it still a little to thick so when it closes, it's not completely flush.

So what I decided to do instead of cutting up the case and all of that is...I freaking pressed the crap out of the magnet into the case. so now it's indented and closes nice and flush.

I'd recommend securing that magnet. I tried pressing my magnet in as well, and it did stay for a while and is actually much smaller than the magnet you used. Eventually it fell out.

The last thing you want is that magnet falling out as you're opening the cover and having it land right on the screen. Just a suggestion. I don't understand why you wouldn't want to make it permanent by at the very least using some glue.

Thanks for the warning but I did secure it. I glued it. :D

I actually have one of those on the way, I'll post impressions once it arrives.

Please do, when is it due?
I don't suppose the magazine jacket has the magnet to wake the iPad up either?

Haha. Good to hear. A dab of glue never hurts.

The magazine jacket ships tomorrow and will take 5-7 days. :-/

This is the best looking case I've seen. very minimal and simple. Does that magnet trick you guys use actually work well? I am probably going to pick this case up after work along with a targus stylus. I hope the case has a place to hold the stylus/pen. It's going to be a complete notepad replacement for me. The iPad that is. I wish incase thought about the magnet feature of the ipad and made their case with it in mind. But oh well, seems like you guys have discovered a way to make it work.

My friend had the one for the first gen. I little bulky but fine none the less. He was giving it to his parents. It is great for them as they have already broken two iphones... They actually lost the ipad for a while, lol.

Cool

It works just as well as the Smart Cover I had before this.

Ferris good to know. I'll be picking one up after work today. I really love the look of this case. I don't know of any other better looking Book/Folio type of cases for the iPad. Going to go to Hobby Lobby and look for a very slim magnet and some glue to modify this case up and add the sleep/wake function to it.

BTW for you guys who already have this case, are there any place to clip on a stylus or pen as well as places for business cards and paperwork? I'd like to use this as an all in one case to carry my iPad, stylus, business card, and important paperwork when I go to meetings, interviews, etc. From the looks of it, I don't think it does. :( Wish I can find another type of case that looks just as good or better than this with compartments to store papers and such.

Nope. There are absolutely no pockets or anything for business cards. Also, it's too thick everywhere for the stylus to br clipped to. (I have the targus one, too. It works great :) )

Im glad to report!! That Burlington, MA had 2 left. I went 1/2 hour ago, and picked up 1 of them. Not 2 as I hate scalpers.

Went to another best buy here, they have iPad cases in 5 different places in the store. After digging thru the last pile I finally found 1 incase. It definitely feels well made - glad I bought it.

Went to Best Buy hoping to pick one up.
Got there to find an empty shelf with the price tag for it.
I need something to cover my iPad until something better comes out.
Anyone know when Best Buy generally gets more stock.
I will try again on Monday I guess.

When I used to work at Besybuy we used to receive shipments on Saturday and Wednesdays. But you could always just call your local best buy and sake them to look up the item with the SKU #. Also ask them if they have some coming in and when would be a good day to come back and check.

Best Buy in Oceanside, CA had plenty of these.
I picked one up, very well constructed and secures the iPad well.

Just a tad thick for my liking but not unmanageable.
Will most likely eventually end up with something else with a sleep/wake function but this will hold me over well in the meantime.

I must say initially I was a little concerned about how this case would be overall with the iPad 2. I bought it today for $16 after a $25 best buy gift card. :D I actually like this case. I took off my blue poly smart cover and I'm using this case right now and typing from my iPad 2. Too bad it doesn't have that angle like the smart cover to type on but it's not big deal really. It doest take away a little bit of the slim factor, but if you plan to use it at work or in environments that you know there's a risk for banging up your iPad on a hard surface or scratching it, use this case. Otherwise when I go out to place like Starbucks/school I'll use my smart cover. I guess I have the best of two worlds now. Incase book jacket for work/harsher conditions than normal, smart cover for usual lifestyle. The case fits really well and good thing there's a Velcro latch otherwise it would fall out. Also, I feel pretty safe with this case and more confident when i carry it around. More chicks dig the blue poly smart cover though.

Btw, I wanted to add how many complements I got from nearby people about my ipad 2 being in such a nice and "professional looking" case. Also, a random chicks next to me complemented me as well. So I went home, got my blue smart cover and still got complements at another starbucks that was nearer to my home. I think most people wanting to use their ipad 2 in the work professional setting, the incase will give you a good professional image. That's what we want right?

Thinking about getting this case over the Yoobao do to better protection. Does it stay in place if resting on your lap?
