Has anyone installed this case with the back and front PS Crystal on? What is the fit?

I installed a Slider on my 3G with PS Crystal (front and back). It fit fine but there was some lifting/bubbling around the edges, especially at the bottom near the home button. I found that if loosened the case by about a millimeter (instead of sliding the case completely together, I left a little gap wide enough for the tip of my fingernail to fit) which got rid of the bubbling.

Speaking for the 3G/3GS people, it is a very tight-fitting case, and at least for me it caused some issues (none major enough for me to return it). Just something to keep in mind when purchasing the new one. I don't know if they have fixed the fit of this case now.

I personally never experienced the peeling/flaking that others have talked about. The case for my 3G took a few falls and suffered from some roughage on the top bezel area; that resulted in some scuffing of the material, but even then no material peeled up or flaked.

As has been noted, the volume buttons and vibrate switch are a little more difficult to use than on the previous incarnation. It's actually kind of frustrating, but I'm sure I'll get used to it over time. That's really the only negative of this case, which I still prefer above all others for various reasons.

Thanks for sharing! How does the texture of the case feel? Like the old Slider? I remember these were prone to flaking, making the case look uuuglyyy!

I had 3 different 3G/3GS Sliders. My 3rd one for the 3GS was the only one that the matte coating never came off after 8 months of use. I think the initial runs must have had problems.

Thank you for the nice pics! I can't wait to unbox mine when I get home. If possible, could you please post your wallpaper?

Thank you

I guess my pics finally worked. that was weird. I took a pic of it in the box before I opened it but it was too big for this site apparently because it was from my iP4 instead of my 3G

here's the wallpaper

sorry for the double post. I wanted to add that I thought the little plastic stand was a nice touch. not that it's some huge deal but it seems like it'd make facetime a lot less awkward to not be holding your arm out the whole time.

I really like this case a lot. Basically if you liked the 3G/3GS slider you'll love this.

Now this is a case!

Just got my black incase slider! Initial thoughts...this is the best case I've bought so far and I've tried 5, from the switcheasy nude to casemate barely there and the bumpers. Great soft feel, feels great in the hands. It even fits with my Zagg IS front and back! As someone posted before, kinda hard to get to volume buttons but the other parts of case makes up for it. I used incase for my 3G and 3GS so don't know why I ever doubted them. Maybe because I had to wait so long but so worth it. Think I'll be getting in every color :)

I just placed an order so we'll see how long it takes to arrive. I really don't need another case but there was something about the slider that I just needed to have. It's also good that there are all positive reviews so far :)

wow if they're at Best Buy I might have to stop by and pick one up but they don't seem to be on their website

I miss the softtouch feeling of the slider :(

stopped by best buy and they had a (1) incase slider. package was already opened and looked a little beat up. guess people were handling it and checking it out. ended up not picking it up, probably wait for more stock to come in.

i had posted pictures and a short review on the griffin outfit ice my brother had picked up at wal-mart, i can say that even though it installs differently, the fix and feel are very similar, silky rubberized coating. but i do prefer the slide-in feature of the incase, seems it'll hold up better than the griffin if ever dropped.

holy **** so best buys are getting the sliders already?!

I need to get one ASAP since I'm going to Myrtle beach in 2 weeks for vacation. I need solid protection because I shall be drinking at bars :D

So no one has addressed the questions we are all dying to ask. How does the case work with the flash. Also anyone running a ps or sgp screen protector? If they have them at best buy I will go pick one up tomorrow !!!!!!!!

It didn't seem to mess up the picture at all to me

Got mine today too. Fits perfectly, build quality is top notch. If you liked the slider for the 3G's then you'll like this.

That may indeed be so. I didn't get an iPhone until several months after the 3G launch, then it was some months, maybe a year, before I got the Slider case.

I did meet one person once who had the same black matte Slider, but it looked like it had leprosy! Whatever the peeling issue was, it was bad. Sheesh!

Hoping mine shows tomorrow.

I had the soft feel black slider on my 3GS, and yes, after a bit of use, a little bit of wear and peeling, mostly on the edges or anything sharp that gets exposed to abrasion, but my god people, it's a PROTECTIVE CASE! Should we buy another case that goes over the slider to protect the slider? And then how do we keep that case pristine too? :)

i had the black slider for my 3GS for a week. gave it to my mom and got the matte red/burgundy slider. i loved the feel and look of the color and case. i did opt for the snap on smoke case from Incase for my free case because i love my bumper now that i boiled it (made it tighter).
