Womp womp, I'm annoyed already. They put a STICKER on the inside of the screen! Said sticker did not peel off cleanly. I used an alcohol pad to get the residue off and I turned one of the water detection stickers bright pink. Ugh. Verizon said they'll exchange it for me in the morning but ugh.

I'm still going to water test it and play around with it a bit tonight.

Well seeing how more and more time is spent doing things other than calling, I can see why to some this wouldn't be a deal breaker.

it says on the front of the packaging engineered for optimal sound quality.

You're not alone with the sticker issues. What an awful idea...especially since it's only on there to tell you to be careful inserting your phone or something.

I've had to take two of them off since I had to exchange my first case. I wasn't able to get either of them off cleanly. Did you somehow manage to turn one of the water indicators inside the phone pink???

There's two water damage indicator thingies inside the case. One on the left and another on the right.

There was no sticker on my glass it was stuck to the plastic packaging inside the box.

Oh, god, no. Just inside the case while I was cleaning the inside of the screen.

There's 3. Unfortunately, I didn't notice any of them until it was too late.

The good news is that the case passed a 30 minute water test. I've had it on my phone for the past hour or so and I really like it. There are a few minor things I can live with. Such as the weird vibration thingy when music is played and the screen being juuust a hair less sensitive(but not so much as to bother me). As someone else said, the mute switch is a bit stiff but it does work. All of the buttons are a little stiff, but work just fine.

Overall, I'm really liking this case. I need a dustproof case(waterproof doesn't hurt either, considering I'm a dog groomer). I'll be heading to the Verizon store to exchange it in the morning. Now I just have to decide whether I want to keep the white/grey or go with the all black.

I guess I didn't notice the third one when I looked at it yesterday =P

I'll have to look at the ones they have and see if any of them don't have the sticker on the glass. I just realized that there's a window on the box.

Anyone having a lot of problems with the volume on this case. When my phone rings I can't hear it at all. Could it be defective ?

Then its false advertising as it says on the front of the packaging engineered for optimal sound quality.

Well depends what "optimal sound quality" they consider. I mean it is a waterproof case, if you think it will be as crisp and clear as no case you are delusional.

Delusional, huh? I'm certainly not going at accuse Incipio of false advertising, but you should try the Armor before such a strong statement. I couldn't tell a difference in the sound with the phone in that case.

volume

i wasent expecting the sound to be amazing but compared to the lifeproof my ringtone went from 100 % to maybe 30% if that i would rate the lifeproof at 60-70%

If it wasn't so bulky I would have tried it.

What I have I have noticed with the Atlas after having the LP since it came out

I usually carry the phone in my shirt pocket and its noticeable heavier the the LP. I at first thought the ringer was louder but noticed when I typed I can't even hear the key clicks anymore. I also used the speaker phone for the first time this morning and it was really had a rattle sound not sure how it sounded to person on other end. Right now I am thinking the LP was not that bad after all. My biggest issue with the LP was the reverb sound you get sometimes while talking and the proximity sensor not working so well. LP has sent me three updates do far and each got a little better but still neededs work. I think I will keep the Atlas on for a while and see how it goes. The screen sensitivity seems fine however it seem finger prints and smudges are more noticeable on the Atlas screen.

Looks like so far the OB Armour is the better water proof case, except for size. No sound problems, easier to get the phone in and out.

Can someone please who has Armor and Atlas compare sound quality during regular voice calls? Not over the speakerphone. That's the main aspect for me, I don't care if it is bulky like Armor :)

I returned the Armor due to its bulk, but audio quality was hands-down much better than the Atlas for both regular calls and speakerphone.

On an unrelated note, would anyone say they're completely happy with the responsiveness of the screen? My second case is much better than my first one was, but its still relatively difficult to type - particularly around the edges.

Due to the variation between the two cases I've tried I'm interested to keep hearing from others who've tried the case. I'm curious if this second case is typical of most or if it might be worth trying another one (another Atlas).

I have read on another thread that taking the phone out of the case and realigning it made big improvement in sound quality. I have not tried that yet but really did not think there was that much room in the case for the phone to be offset in the first place. However looking at the camera lens it does seem to be offset towards the edge a bit.

Well cancelled my preorder and went to verizon and picked up a black. Saved a decent amount of money too with my discount. Will post impressions in a little.

Edit. so got it all set up.
The screen is definitely 10x better than on my lifeproof, some touches on the outer edges need to be pushed a little harder but other than that no complaints.
Sound: Is a little quieter than without a case, playing music was still loud while in the case.
Haven't had a chance to make any calls but once I do I will report back, so far really liking the case.

Is your service with Verizon? My company has a contract with Verizon but the store said the discount is only available if you are a current customer with Verizon.
