incipio feather iphone4

I got a matte black feather for my iPhone 4 a couple of days ago, and so far, i'm delighted with it. It has more of a 'rounded square' cut out around the camera/flash rather than the more tear shape that ive seen in pics posted here. Hoping the rubber coating lasts better than indicated here. Hopefully early issues were a result of issues with initial production runs. But at this stage, 10/10. :)
 
How do I tell if my feather is the new or old model? Do I need to use it and have evidence of peeling before I ask for a replacement? cheers

If it's a tear shape camera cutout it's the old one. The new one can be seen on their site, the cutout is an oval. And yes they ask for pictures of peeling before sending a replacement.
 
i got my incipio feather case and absolutely love it! except that i got the 1st version with the dodgy flash interference... too bad for me i ordered mine through ebay... :( looks like i will have to order one from incipio themselves...

Im about to place an order for a matt black case... but the image on their website looks the same as the one i have here product no: IPH-512... how do i know if it will be the 2nd version that im ordering?

Shasta McNasty - the image you took... is the case on the right the 2nd version of the case?
 
shot an email to incipio and just as expected a reply within 24hrs! they are shipping the replacement case over... cant wait for it! incipio has the best customer service by far!!

Yeah my replacement case is shipping, and that all happened within the last 3 hours :eek:

I sent pictures of the coating peeling off and then they only asked for a proof of purchase. Amazing customer service.
 
I just did some testing with the flash with and without the case and yah, pretty drastic difference. I just emailed support -- we'll see what they say.

Other than the LED flash problem, I LOVE this case. I'm super picky when it comes to cases and I really do like this one. I'm just hoping for a satisfactory resolution to the flash problem (no pun intended).
 
Is everyone with these still having good experiences or are the replacements starting to peel as well?

Much better. It's early days, but I have even tried to scratch it off with my fngernail and could not (unlike the last one which I could literally rub off with my finger tip).

Incipio are my favourite case maker by a mile. Was going to use a Speck HD, but the made an infirour cheap version from the Apple free case program, but think I will stick with this for now.

What shape is the flash hole? Oval or keyhole? They have increased the flash cutout and will send you a revised version. They did for me.
 
Ok, I really did not want to read all 12 pages of posts here so I am hoping someone can answer this real quick for me. Does the feather work with a back film in place? Specifically I have a Wrapsol original on, so not quite as thick as some of the films out there.

Yes.
 
I don't believe there is a case out there that fits in the iPhone 4 dock. Full body invisible shield, including sides, imho is the best way to go to protect phone from scratches, fix the antenna issue and also let the true beauty of the phone remain while also being able to still use any accessories I want.

Incipio came through for me! They sent me the newer style case as a replacement for free. :D
