Is the pearl metallic black one like... soft/smooth to touch like the original black one? Or is it more of a plasticy feeling case, Also does it show fingerprints?

^yeah I just asked if they had any other black cases that weren't matte and she said if I wasn't happy they could send out the pearl metallic if I liked instead.

Okay, heres a pic, not the best but i didnt have time to take a great one as im heading to a movie now but you can see the difference between the two. Anyways, to answer a few questions, it does feel plasticy compared to the matte one. It also does show finger prints on it, but not terribly unless you have oily fingers. Any other questions, just ask, or if you want some better pictures let me know haha...

So after using it for a few hours it definitely attracts fingerprints, but I like how this one feels much better than the matte. It feels more like the glass back on the phone. So in short if you are OCD about fingerprints, this color isn't for you!

Mine arrived yesterday. Purchased from Amazon UK with old camera cutout! Love the matte finish and the overall size and feel of the case.

Had the black Bumper on before. But I'm not a big fan of silicon/rubber cases. The rubbery edges were really bugging me and I just couldn't wait for my free Incase Snap Smoke any more. Will probably replace with Incase when it arrives as I am really liking its semi transparent back (its photos, anyway).

I'm about to order the blue (westerly) case. I think this has a matte feel. Has anyone had issues with it scratching or peeling? Is there a glossy option?

Just giving a heads up I got my free replacement today with the revised camera hole. I'll be saving this one until my current feather wears out.

Same here, but I'm using the Incase Slider at the moment.

top customer service.

I emailed Incipio's CS 30 minutes ago. Within minutes, I had a reply. They're sending me back to replacements for my black feathers: one had a bad camera cutout and the other one started to peel.
I hope the newer versions are better! It has to be the most responsive CS ever.

+1
I can't praise the CS enough
I emailed them lastnight and within ten mins I had
A reply and tracking number fir my new case.

Best customer service ever.

My replacement just got here today. Haven't opened it up yet, since I've been perfectly happy with the original, but I'll keep it around as a backup.

I've been perfectly happy with Incipio's handling in the matter.

Hi, do I need to wait for mine to peel before I request a replacement? I've got two but one is still in wrap. They are the old cut outs purchased over a month ago when they first came out.

Thanks

Hey guys just to let you know, I had Incipio Feather for iPhone 3G and it scratched the hell out of my phone. You will need to clean out your phone regularly of lint/sand/dust from pockets etc it used to get all sorts of stuff in it.

It also cracks easily if you need to take it off and on to clean it. And trust me you need to clean it often because if you don't the hard plastic material get's things behind it that will scratch the shi* out of your phone.

Since it had a tendency to crack the good thing is they give you a 1 yr warranty and are very good with customer service. They will return you one if you ask and send in your old. Only issue is this takes time. and time is money....

It did a good job of keeping my phone from breaking when dropped close to grown though.

That all being said this is a new version so maybe they have made changes to it. But I was very happy with my Incipio feather for several weeks before I started noticing it's long term effects.

So it seems you are not in favor of the Incipio feather. Which case did you buy then? WHat are the plus versus the Incipio feather?

Dust and grime can get underneath the feather (I had one for an ipod touch) but this happens to most snap on cases. I know its counter intuitive to do so but a back protector underneath a case does the trick. Any cheap one will do since you won't be seeing it anyway. The case was a bit fragile around the power button because it was so thin and it did crack on me. Although it isn't lose and I barely notice the crack to this day. The iphone 4 feather however is completely different. There is no weak joints to crack from simply removing it.
